Abstract:
A screen generating unit generates a home screen for allowing a user to select a desired item of content from among multiple items of content, and the home screen includes a list in which multiple icons representing the multiple items of content are arranged. A display control unit displays the home screen on a television monitor. The screen generating unit further arranges, in the list on the home screen, a library icon used to search for an item of content.
Abstract:
A mode control section 130 selects power saving mode as an operation mode, and a screen control section 120 generates a display screen. After the mode control section 130 switches the mode from power saving mode to normal mode, the screen control section 120 generates a display screen to match the type of screen that appeared before power saving mode was selected. If an application screen appeared before power saving mode is selected, the screen control section 120 generates the application screen after the mode is switched from power saving mode to normal mode. If a system screen appeared before power saving mode is selected, the screen control section 120 generates a given system screen after the mode is switched from power saving mode to normal mode.

Abstract:
A login processing unit 132 performs a login process of a user. An assignment processing unit 130 assigns an inputting device connected to an information processing apparatus 10 to a user. An assignment processing unit 136 controls an assignment process of the inputting device in response to the number of users who are in a login state and executes an assignment process which is different between a case in which the number of users in a login state is one and another case in which the number of users in a login state is two or more. The assignment processing unit 136 assigns, when the number of users in a login state is one, the inputting device connected to the information processing apparatus 10 to the one user.
