摘要: A cutting assembly is housed within a main body. The cutting assembly includes a rotary blade mounted vertically within the main body. A blade motor is coupled to the rotary blade. The blade motor is configured to rotate the rotary blade with sufficient speed and torque to cut through a wellbore tubular. The blade motor is supported by a blade motor mount. A lead screw is coupled to the blade motor mount. The lead screw is rotatable to control a vertical position of the rotary blade. A lead screw motor is rotably coupled to the lead screw. The lead screw motor is configured to rotate the lead screw to adjust the vertical position of the rotary blade. A guide is located within the main body. The guide includes a profile that controls a horizontal position of the blade based on the vertical position of the rotary blade.

摘要: An ultrasonic flow check system for wellbores includes an ultrasonic transceiver installed within an inner surface of a bell nipple attached to a well head of a wellbore at a surface. The bell nipple receives wellbore fluid from a flow line attached to a side surface of the bell nipple. An alarm is installed on a rotary table installed above the bell nipple such that the bell nipple is between the rotary table and the well head. A ultrasonic signal is caused to be transmitted, by the ultrasonic transceiver, into the bell nipple. The ultrasonic signal is reflected by the wellbore fluid within the bell nipple resulting in an ultrasonic response signal. The ultrasonic response signal is caused to be received by the ultrasonic transceiver. Based on the ultrasonic response signal, it is determined whether the fluid level within the bell nipple is static or mobile.

摘要: A bell nipple assembly includes a tubular main body and a catcher assembly positioned above the tubular main body that includes an upper opening with a diameter greater than an inner diameter of the tubular main body and one or more inwardly sloping inner surfaces configured to catch fluids falling from the rig floor or from an exterior surface of the drill string and to direct the fluids to the tubular main body. The bell nipple assembly also includes one or more magnets configured to direct a magnetic field toward an interior of the catcher assembly and to attract a metallic object falling within the interior of the catcher assembly towards the inwardly sloping inner surfaces.

摘要: Tools and methods are described for removing a packer beyond a restriction in a casing of a wellbore. A packer milling tool includes: a milling body with an outer diameter; milling blocks positioned at intervals around a circumference of the milling body, each milling block pivotably attached to the milling body and pivotable between a running position and a milling position; and a wash pipe extending from a downhole end of the milling body. The milling blocks have a rotational circumference with a rotational diameter that is less than the outer diameter of the milling body when in the running position and the rotational diameter is more than the outer diameter of the milling body and less than the inner diameter of the casing when in the milling position.

摘要: An assembly and a method for maintaining and inspecting a wellbore are described. The assembly includes a body. Multiple magnetic wheel sub-assemblies are adjustably coupled to the body. The magnetic wheel sub-assemblies position the body within the wellbore and reposition relative to the body in response to a wellbore narrowing or a wellbore widening. The assembly includes a tool connection coupled to the body. The tool connection couples a well tool to the body. The assembly includes a control sub-assembly to control the magnetic wheel sub-assemblies and operate the well tool within the wellbore. The assembly includes a power sub-assembly to supply power to the control sub-assembly and the well tool. The assembly includes a backup retrieval mechanism coupled to the body. The backup retrieval mechanism couples to a retrieval tool.

摘要: A swivel includes a male segment, a female segment, and a lock pin. The male segment can mate with the female segment, and the lock pin can pass through the female segment and engage with the male segment to prevent relative axial movement of the male segment and the female segment while allowing relative rotational movement of the male segment and the female segment. The male segment includes a first conductive ring configured to couple to a first wire. The female segment includes a second conductive ring configured to couple to a second wire. Contact between the first and second conductive rings establishes an electrical connection between the first and second wires.
