The present invention relates to a washing machine for washing laundry, including a tub for holding washing water, a drum in the tub for holding laundry, a rotation shaft connected to a rear surface of the drum, a tubback which forms a rear side of the tub and through which the rotation shaft passes, a bearing housing for supporting the rotation shaft, and a suspension unit for buffering and supporting the bearing housing, wherein the laundry machine further comprises a vibration sensor for sensing vibration of a structure supported by the suspension unit, thereby enabling to control rotation of the drum according to sensed vibration.

A pouch type lithium secondary battery including a medium- or large-sized battery module includes: a jelly-roll type electrode assembly; a resin-type first packing material that is formed of a two-layer structure having an inner resin layer and an outer resin layer, and for packing the jelly-roll type electrode assembly in the form of a unit cell; and a metal-type second packing material that integrally packs and contains two or more unit cells packed in the first packing material in the form of a module, and prevents moisture and gas penetration by a sealed structure. The pouch type lithium secondary battery is applicable particularly to medium- and large-sized batteries for EVs, p-HEVs, HEVs, and so on.

A laundry machine is disclosed. The overall weight of the vibrating system provided in the laundry machine according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention may be reduced and the vibration of the drum may be stabilized by new means for adding weights. In addition, the front of the drum may be prevented from falling downward because of the introduction of laundry.

Provided are an apparatus and method for speech segment detection, and a system for speech recognition. The apparatus is equipped with a sound receiver and an image receiver and includes: a lip motion signal detector for detecting a motion region from image frames output from the image receiver, applying lip motion image feature information to the detected motion region, and detecting a lip motion signal; and a speech segment detector for detecting a speech segment using sound frames output from the sound receiver and the lip motion signal detected from the lip motion signal detector. Since lip motion image information is checked in a speech segment detection process, it is possible to prevent dynamic noise from being misrecognized as speech.

Provided is a method of fabricating a silicon germanium (SiGe) Bi-CMOS device. In the fabrication method, the source and drain of the CMOS device is formed using a silicon germanium (SiGe) heterojunction, instead of silicon, thereby preventing a leakage current resulting from a parasitic bipolar operation. Further, since the source and drain is connected with an external interconnection through the nickel (Ni) silicide layer, the contact resistance is reduced, thereby preventing loss of a necessary voltage for a device operation and accordingly, making it possible to enable a low voltage and low power operation and securing a broad operation region even in a low voltage operation of an analogue circuit.
