Abstract:
A method comprising: displaying a live view image on a screen; detecting a first gesture that is performed on the screen when the live view image is displayed; and displaying a thumbnail menu on the screen together with the live view image based on a duration of the first gesture.
Abstract:
A digital photographing apparatus, computer readable medium, and a method of controlling the digital photographing apparatus, the method including selecting a template image; receiving an image including a subject and detecting the subject from the received image; and displaying the template image with an image of the subject included in a view area. The displaying may include displaying the template image with an image of the subject included in a view area corresponding to a location of the detected subject. The method may include designating a location of the view area on the template image.
Abstract:
A method of controlling a photographing apparatus includes: recognizing a gesture in an input image as a previously defined gesture; if the gesture corresponds to a previously defined gesture for a zoom operation, performing the zoom operation using optical zoom; and while the zoom operation is being performed, continuing recognizing the gesture by taking into consideration the zoom operation.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for providing a user interface according to a size of a template edit frame are provided. The method includes: selecting a template based on a user interface; detecting a subject from an image to fit the selected template to the subject; determining a size of an edit frame of the fitted template based on whether at least a portion of the fitted template strays from a display area; and displaying the fitted template and an edit frame having a size that is determined not to stray from the display area.
Abstract:
A method for fitting a template is described. A 2D template is selected based on user input. A subject is detected from an input image. Subject information is extracted from the input image. The subject information includes at least one of a location, a size, or an angle of the detected subject. The selected 2D template is fitted to the detected subject through a three-dimensional rotation based on the extracted subject information.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for processing an image are provided. A processor is configured to detect a region of at least one object from the image, define a plurality of straight lines approximating a boundary of the detected region of the at least one object, and based on the number of points at which each of the plurality of first straight lines coincide with the boundary, extract first image data for a polygonal region. The polygonal region has vertexes at a plurality of first intersection points at which the plurality of straight lines intersect each other. Second image data may be generated by correcting distortion of the first image data. A storage unit stores the second image data, which may also be displayed or transmitted.
Abstract:
An image processing method includes: defining a selection area in a first still image according to a user input; extracting image data that correspond to the selected area from a second still image; combining the image data extracted from the second still image on the selection area of the first still image to create a composite image; and sequentially displaying the first still image and the composite image.
Abstract:
A method for image processing is provided comprising: detecting a rectangular image region (RIR) in one of a plurality of images while the plurality of images is being received; obtaining a coordinate corresponding to the detected RIR; and storing in a memory the coordinate and a link associating the coordinate with the image in which the RIR is detected.
