The purpose of the present disclosure is to discover a small cell in a wireless communication system. An operation of a terminal in the wireless communication system includes receiving a first signal for informing of existence of a small cell according to a first measurement period and attempting to detect the first signal and a second signal for informing of a service coverage of the small cell according to a second measurement period after detecting the first signal. In addition, the present disclosure also includes embodiments other than the embodiment described above.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A method for communicating by a user equipment with a macro cell base station and a small cell base station in a communication system is provided. The method comprises applying a first base station security key to a first communication link with the macro cell base station; generating a second base station security key to be used for a second communication link with the small cell base station based on the first base station security key; applying the second base station security key to the second communication link with the small cell base station; and communicating through at least one of the first communication link and the second communication link.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). The present disclosure is to perform connection re-establishment in a mobile communication system, wherein a method for operating a terminal in a mobile communication system includes: receiving, from a base station, a message informing whether to support to fetching a context of the terminal; and determining whether at least one base station supports to fetching the context based on the message. In addition, the present invention includes other embodiments as well as the above-described embodiments.
Abstract:
The present disclosures provides a method in a communication system for scheduling, by a base station, a terminal which uses an unlicensed band channel, comprising: a step in which a base station transmits scheduling information with respect to an unlicensed band to a terminal through a licensed band channel in a first subframe; a step in which the base station performs a search for the unlicensed band channel; and a step in which, if the search for the unlicensed band channel is successful, downlink data is transmitted to the terminal through the unlicensed band channel on the basis of the scheduling information.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a cell state corresponding to whether to transmit a signal, on a subframe basis by an evolved Node B (eNB) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes determining a cell state of at least one subframe included in each of an N-th frame and an (N−1)-th frame, and at the start of the N-th frame, transmitting to a user equipment (UE), information about cell states of all subframes belonging to the N-th frame and information about cell states of all subframes belonging to the (N−1)-th frame.

Abstract:
Disclosed is a system and a method of signal transmission/reception by a mobile station in a wireless communication system. The method includes: transmitting a first sub-band preparation indicator, which indicates that the mobile station has been prepared for transmission/reception of a signal through a first sub-band, to a base station through a primary band; transmitting a first sub-band failure indicator to the base station through the primary band upon detecting failure in transmitting the first sub-band preparation indicator; receiving sub-band information on a second sub-band, which is different from the first sub-band, from the BS through the primary band; and acquiring synchronization with the second sub-band, so as to enable transmission/reception of a signal through the second sub-band based on the sub-band information.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for controlling a waiting time related to determination of a radio link failure in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes receiving a message from a network, if a first timer for determination of the radio link failure is running and the message includes timer information related to the waiting time, starting a second timer related to the waiting time based on the timer information, and if the second timer expires before expiration of the first timer, determining a channel situation of a serving cell as a situation of the radio link failure.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A method of setting a handover parameter includes receiving, from a serving evolved NodeB (eNB), cell type information indicating eNB types of the serving eNB and eNBs adjacent to the serving eNB, and mobility information of the UE, detecting types of the serving eNB and a target eNB based on the cell type information, and setting a Time-To-Trigger (TTT) applied, the mobility information of the UE, and a received signal strength for the serving eNB.
