Abstract: An electronic device including an electronic pen and a method of controlling a communication connection with the electronic pen is provided. The electronic device include a housing, a touch-screen display, a first wireless communication circuit, an extended recess disposed inside the housing, a first wireless charging circuit,; an electronic pen including a second wireless communication circuit and a second wireless charging circuit electrically coupled to the first wireless charging circuit, a processor, and a memory. The memory stores instructions causing the processor to detect whether the electronic pen is inserted into the recess, charge the electronic pen through the first wireless charging circuit based on the detection, receive inherent information of the electronic pen through the first wireless communication circuit during or after the charging, and maintain or re-establish a communication connection with the electronic pen based on at least a portion of the received inherent information.

Abstract: In accordance with an aspect of the disclosure, an electronic device is provided. The electronic device comprises an antenna array, a wireless communication module electrically connected to the antenna array and configured to form directional beams through the antenna array, at least one processor operatively connected to the wireless communication module; and a memory operatively connected to the at least one processor. The memory stores instructions causing the at least one processor to perform a plurality of operations comprising: transmitting a sequence of first directional beams having a first beam width to scan first regions having a first sizethrough the antenna array, receiving a sequence of first reflected waves generated by reflection of the sequence of the first directional beams from an object through the antenna array, transmitting a sequence of second directional beams having a second beam width narrower than the first beam width to scan second regions, which are included in the first regions and have a second size smaller than the first size, through the antenna array based on at least a portion of the received sequence of the first reflected waves, receiving a sequence of second reflected waves generated by reflection of the sequence of the second directional beams from the object through the antenna array, and authenticating the object based on at least a portion of the sequence of the second reflected waves.

Abstract: According to an embodiment of the disclosure, an electronic device comprises: a wireless communication circuitry configured to support a Bluetooth network; at least one processor; and a memory operatively connected with the at least one processor, wherein the memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the at least one processor, the plurality of operations comprising: establishing a first link with a first external electronic device, based on the Bluetooth network; receiving information associated with a second link created between the first external electronic device and a second external electronic device, from the first external electronic device; attempting to receive a first data packet transmitted from the second external electronic device by monitoring the second link based at least partially on the information associated with the second link; identifying whether a response message is received from the first external electronic device; transmitting, to the second external electronic device, a response message indicating “ACK” for the first data packet, when the first data packet is normally received, and when the response message is received from the first external electronic device; and withholding a response message for reception of the first data packet, when the first data packet is not normally received or when the response message is not received from the first external electronic device.
