Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving data in a wireless communication system. A method of a base station for transmitting and receiving a synchronization signal includes performing listen-before-talk (LBT) on a channel of a terminal in an unlicensed band, and in case that the LBT succeeds within a window duration for transmitting a synchronization signal block (SSB), transmitting the SSB to the terminal, wherein the window duration includes at least one SSB burst length that is repeated in a specific period and has the specific period as a length of time, and the SSB is transmitted at a specific time within a first SSB burst length of the at least one SSB burst length.

Abstract: A system and a method that reports capability information regarding a dual mode User Equipment (UE) are provided. The UE supports Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) and Time Division Duplex (TDD). The UE capability transmitting method includes receiving a message requesting UE capability information from an evolved Node B (eNB), generating first capability information and second capability information according to the UE capability information requesting message, and transmitting UE capability information including the first and second capability information to the eNB. The first capability information comprises FDD capability information applicable to an FDD mode or TDD capability information applicable to a TDD mode. The second capability information comprises capability information applicable to both the FDD mode and the TDD mode. The system and method can allow a dual mode UE to efficiently report its capability information.

Abstract: A terminal for cell reselection in a wireless communication system includes: a transceiver; and at least one processor configured to select a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) in an idle mode or an inactive mode, receive, from a base station, a PLMN identity list including one or more pieces of PLMN identity information via a first type system information block, wherein each of the one or more pieces of PLMN identity information includes a PLMN identity for a corresponding PLMN, and the one or more pieces of PLMN identity information are listed in a first order for PLMN(s), receive, from the base station, a PLMN information list including one or more pieces of PLMN information via a third type system information block, wherein each of the one or more pieces of PLMN information includes a New Radio (NR) frequency band list for a corresponding PLMN in a same order as the first order for PLMN(s) in which the one or more pieces of PLMN identity information are listed in the PLMN identity list received via the first type system information block, determine whether at least one NR frequency for the selected PLMN is included in the NR frequency band list and whether the terminal supports to operate in E-UTRA-NR Dual Connectivity (EN-DC) by using the at least one NR frequency for the selected PLMN, when the at least one NR frequency for the selected PLMN is included in the NR frequency band list and the terminal supports to operate in the EN-DC by using the at least one NR frequency for the selected PLMN, transmit, to a upper layer, a upper layer indication, and when the at least one NR frequency for the selected PLMN is not included in the NR frequency band list or the terminal does not support to operate in the EN-DC by using the at least one NR frequency for the selected PLMN, transmit, to the upper layer, information indicating absence of the upper layer indication.

Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose a method for executing conditional handover by a UE in a wireless communication network. The method may include receiving an RRC reconfiguration message from a source cell of the wireless communication network. The RRC reconfiguration message may include a handover configuration and determining whether a CHO configuration may be provided in the handover configuration. Further, the method may include performing one of: continuing an RLM timer and an RLM procedure on the source cell, in response to determining that the CHO configuration is provided in the handover configuration; and stopping the RLM timer and suspending the radio link monitoring procedure on the source cell, in response to determining that the CHO configuration is not provided in the handover configuration. The method may then include executing the CHO from the source cell to a candidate target cell in the wireless communication network based on the CHO configuration.

Abstract: A user equipment (2) has an ability to operate according to one or more spectrum emission requirement capability values (14) in a wireless communications network having at least a first serving cell (4). A message (6) is received at the user equipment (2) from the first serving cell (4) comprising a first indicator representing a first band designation (8), a second indicator representing a spectrum emission requirement value (10), and at least one additional indicator representing at least one additional spectrum emission requirement value (12), both the first and additional indicators relating to the first band designation. The user equipment (2) performs a comparison of the first and additional spectrum emission requirement values (10, 12) with the one or more spectrum emission requirement capability values (14) and determines a behaviour of the user equipment (2) in relation to the first serving cell (4) in dependence on the comparison.
