    Abstract: A display that includes a base layer having an emission area and a non-emission area adjacent to the emission area. A circuit element layer is disposed on the base layer. A display element layer is disposed on the circuit element layer. The display element layer includes an organic light emitting diode. An encapsulation layer is disposed on the display element layer and is configured to encapsulate the organic light emitting diode. A color filter layer is disposed in the encapsulation layer. The color filter layer includes a color shielding layer having a plurality of layers disposed in the non-emission area and a color filter disposed in the emission area.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a first transistor, a first pixel electrode, a second transistor, and a second pixel electrode. The first transistor includes a first drain electrode. The first pixel electrode is positioned between an edge of the display apparatus and a center of the display apparatus and includes a first recessed structure. The first recessed structure directly contacts the first drain electrode. The second transistor includes a second drain electrode. The second pixel electrode is positioned between the edge of the display apparatus and the first pixel electrode and includes at least one recessed structure. The at least one recessed structure includes a second recessed structure. The second recessed structure directly contacts the second drain electrode. A total maximum width of the at least one recessed structure is greater than a maximum width of the first recessed structure.

    Abstract: A display device including a substrate, a circuit portion including a thin film transistor on the substrate, a display element on the circuit portion, the display element including a pixel electrode electrically connected to the thin film transistor, an encapsulation layer covering the display element, a color filter layer on the encapsulation layer, the color filter layer including a black matrix and a color filter, and a light transmission control layer located farther from the display element than the color filter layer in a direction perpendicular to an upper surface of the substrate, the light transmission control layer having light transmittance that varies according to an electrical signal. The light transmission control layer overlaps the black matrix. A width of the light transmission control layer is greater than a width of the black matrix.
