    Abstract: A display device includes a first display substrate including a light emitting element which emits light of a first color or light of a second color different from the first color, a second display substrate including in order toward the first display substrate, a layer including both a bank layer defining an opening and a wavelength control pattern in the opening, a capping layer covering the wavelength control pattern and the bank layer, and a color absorbing layer which corresponds to the bank layer and blocks the light of the first color and the light of the second color. The capping layer includes a first area corresponding to the color absorbing layer, the bank layer includes a second area corresponding to the color absorbing layer, and the first area of the capping layer is between the color absorbing layer and the second area of the bank layer.

    Abstract: A display device may include a substrate having a first substrate portion, a second substrate portion, and a third substrate portion positioned between the first substrate portion and the second substrate portion. The display device may further include a first roof layer and a second roof layer formed of the same material, spaced from each other, and respectively overlapping the first substrate portion and the second substrate portion. The display device may further include a transistor overlapping the third substrate portion. The display device may further include a liquid crystal set.     Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes a substrate, a thin film transistor, a first protection layer, a pixel electrode, a light blocking layer, a second protection layer, and a roof layer. The thin film transistor is disposed on the substrate. The first protection layer is disposed on the thin film transistor. The pixel electrode is disposed on the first protection layer. The light blocking layer is disposed on the pixel electrode to cover the thin film transistor. The second protection layer is disposed on the light blocking layer. The roof layer is disposed to face the pixel electrode, wherein a plurality of microcavities having injection holes are formed between the pixel electrode and the roof layer. The microcavities comprise liquid crystal molecules, and the first protection layer and the second protection layer have different etch rates.
