    Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes: a substrate; a thin film transistor on the substrate; a pixel electrode connected with a terminal of the thin film transistor; a microcavity on the pixel electrode, and including a plurality of regions corresponding a pixel area; a liquid crystal layer in the microcavity; a liquid crystal injection hole exposing the microcavity; a common electrode on the microcavity; a supporting member on the common electrode; and a capping layer on the supporting member and covering the liquid crystal injection hole. The pixel electrode is connected with the terminal of the thin film transistor through a contact hole, and the contact hole is within the pixel area.

The pixel may include: an emission area, a non-emission area, and a split area spaced from the emission area with the non-emission area interposed therebetween; a first pattern and a second pattern spaced from each other in a first direction, and each extending in a second direction; a first light emitting element aligned between the first and second patterns; a first electrode connected to a first end of the first light emitting element; a second electrode connected to a second end of the first light emitting element; a bank located in the non-emission area and defining the emission area and the split area; and an insulating pattern located between the first and second electrodes and overlapping the first light emitting element. Only two of the first pattern, the bank, and the insulating pattern may overlap each other.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a substrate including a pixel; a scan line for supplying a scan signal to the pixel; a data line for supplying a data signal to the pixel; a first power line for supplying a first driving power source to the pixel; a second power line for supplying a second driving power source to the pixel; and a third power line for supplying a ground voltage to the pixel. The pixel includes: first and second electrodes spaced apart from each other on the substrate; a plurality of light emitting elements, each of the light emitting elements having first and second end portions in a length direction thereof and being arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode; and a first switch electrically connected between the third power line and the first electrode. The first switch is configured to be turned on by a control signal.

    Abstract: A method of testing a display panel including a pixel coupled to first, second, and third power lines, a data line, scan lines, an emission control line, and a test line, the method includes: applying a first power supply voltage to the first power line; applying a test voltage having a turn-on voltage level to the second power line; applying a scan signal having a turn-on voltage level sequentially to the scan lines and an emission control signal having a turn-on voltage level to the emission control line; applying a gate signal to the test line to turn on a test transistor coupled between two electrode of a light emitting element included in the pixel; measuring a sensing voltage output through the data line; and determining whether the pixel is defective, based on a voltage level of the measured sensing voltage.
