Abstract: Provided are an image generating apparatus, an image generating method, and a program that are capable of saving the storage capacity of a frame buffer for storing pixel values of pixels determined in advance to have a predetermined value as their pixel values. An acquisition management data storing unit stores acquisition management data. A pixel value storing unit stores a pixel value of a pixel determined to have a pixel value acquired from the pixel value storing unit. An acquisition determining unit determines, based on the acquisition management data, whether or not to acquire a pixel value of each of pixels from the pixel value storing unit. A pixel value determining unit determines, with regard to the pixel determined to have the pixel value acquired from the pixel value storing unit, a pixel value acquired from the pixel value storing unit as the pixel value of the pixel. The pixel value determining unit determines, with regard to a pixel determined to have a pixel value not acquired from the pixel value storing unit, a predetermined value as the pixel value of the pixel.

Abstract: A luminance space conversion section of an information processing apparatus converts an image signal represented in a luminance space corresponding to an SDR into a signal represented in a luminance space corresponding to an HDR, and outputs the converted signal to a synthesis processing section that performs alpha blend processing on an HDR image. In an adjustment mode, a parameter adjustment section allows a display apparatus to display an adjustment image represented in the SDR and adjusts a parameter used for a conversion of the luminance space so that a change in a display image is made small before and after converting the luminance space. The parameter is stored in a conversion parameter storage section after the adjustment and is used when a luminance signal conversion section performs conversion processing.

Abstract: A luminance space conversion section 66 of an information processing apparatus converts an image signal represented in a luminance space corresponding to an SDR into a signal represented in a luminance space corresponding to an HDR, and outputs the converted signal to a synthesis processing section 72 that performs alpha blend processing on an HDR image. Abstract: Provided are an image generation apparatus, an image generation method, and a program for generating an image indicative of play status of a game in which two-dimensional objects representative of information to be offered to a viewing audience at the destination of delivery are clearly expressed. An image acquisition section acquires a game image indicative of the content to be displayed on a display device, the game image representing at least the play status of a game in which a virtual three-dimensional object placed in a virtual three-dimensional space is viewed from a point of view in the virtual three-dimensional space. The image acquisition section also acquires a delivery target two-dimensional image indicating a two-dimensional object targeted for delivery, the delivery target two-dimensional image having the same resolution as that of an image to be delivered. A resizing section resizes the game image to the resolution of the delivery target two-dimensional image so as to generate a resized game image. An image generation section generates an image that combines the resized game image with the delivery target two-dimensional image.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a calibration section acquiring luminance characteristics of a display apparatus on a basis of a user manipulation for a calibration screen image displayed on the display apparatus, a luminance transforming section transforming a range of luminance composing a pixel value of an image into a range of luminance with which the image can be outputted as a display image on a basis of the luminance characteristics, and an output section outputting data associated with an image having the luminance after the transformation as a pixel value. The calibration section adjusts an initial state of the calibration screen image on a basis of information peculiar to the display apparatus, and then causes the calibration screen image to be displayed on the display apparatus.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus 10 generates a reference image including information to be presented to a user in accordance with a first attitude of an HMD 100 identified at a first point in time. Based on the difference between the first attitude and a second attitude of the HMD 100 identified at a second point in time after the first point in time, the information processing apparatus 10 generates from the reference image a display image to be displayed on the HMD 100. Upon generation of the display image, the later the timing for displaying a specific image in the display image displayed on the HMD 100, the larger the amount of displacement is made by the information processing apparatus 10 between the position of the specific pixel in the display image and the position of a corresponding image in the reference image serving as the source from which to set the pixel value of the specific pixel.
