Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a noise reduction device and a noise reduction method capable of reducing noise in a more stable and effective manner. Signal processing is performed to generate a reference signal representing a waveform of noise. Moreover, signal processing is performed for an error signal representing a waveform of an error measured by a microphone in accordance with an amplitude-frequency characteristic. Then, a filter coefficient with which the error signal becomes zero is calculated under adaptive algorithm with reference to the reference signal. The reference signal is filtered by using the filter coefficient to obtain a control signal. The control signal is supplied to the corresponding one of the predetermined number of output units. The present technology is applicable to a noise cancelling system equipped in a closed space such as an interior of a vehicle, for example.

Abstract: The present technology relates to a sound processing device, a sound processing method, and a program, which can collect a desired sound. A sound processing device includes: a sound collection unit configured to collect a sound; an application unit configured to apply a predetermined filter to a signal of the sound collected by the sound collection unit; a selection unit configured to select a filter coefficient of the filter applied by the application unit; and a correction unit configured to correct the signal from the application unit. The selection unit selects the filter coefficient on the basis of the signal of the sound collected by the sound collection unit. The selection unit creates, on the basis of the signal of the sound collected by the sound collection unit, a histogram which associates a direction where the sound occurs and a strength of the sound and selects the filter coefficient on the basis of the histogram. The present technology can be applied to a sound processing device.

Abstract: There is provided a signal processing device including a feature amount extraction unit configured to extract, from a frequency-domain signal obtained by frequency conversion on a voice signal, a feature amount of the frequency-domain signal, and a determination unit configured to determine, based on the extracted feature amount, presence or absence of noise in the voice signal within a predetermined section. The feature amount is composed of a plurality of elements. The plurality of elements contain an element defined based on a correlation value between a feature amount waveform which is a waveform according to the frequency-domain signal in the voice signal within the predetermined section and a feature amount waveform within another section sequential in time to the predetermined section.
