Abstract:
The present invention is an ergonomic paper punch, which includes a die body, a press body, and a plurality of punch heads. The die body and the press body are pivotally connected along an axis for a rocking motion, with the die body and press body forming a "V" shape when viewed in a cross-section perpendicular to the axis. The die body has a die base with a plurality of die holes, an equal number of brackets with guide holes, and a paper reception region in between the base and brackets. A portion of the upper surface of the press body is covered by a resilient, textured surface. The underside of the die base has a region for holding the punch-outs that is covered by a resilient tray. The tray is secured to the top surface of the die base, extends around the die base, and covers the punch-out holding region. The tray is completely detachable from the punch-out holding region so the region can be emptied, but remains attached to the die base so as to not get lost. The tray contains a closable aperture that can also be used to empty the punch-out holding region. The center section of the lower rear edge of the tray is curved, rather than squared off.
Abstract:
A sheet-like, integral plastic accessory for a notebook is disclosed featuring at least one paper clip sheet. Each paper clip sheet is formed with a frame as defined by a pair of parallel spaced rims and a pair of outer cross rims. A plurality of ribs extend between the parallel spaced rims in parallel spaced relation to one another. A plurality of paper clip configurations extend from the rims and the ribs. Each paper clip configuration is formed with inner and outer elongated bands joined at one end at a nexus. A pair of curved segments define the nexus at one side thereof, with a constricted portion defining the same at an opposed side. Preferably, a pair of shoulders straddle the constricted portion and a burr connects the constricted portion of the paper clip configuration to the rims and the ribs. Preferably, the nexus is wider and stronger adjacent the curved segments than at the constricted portion, allowing the inner band to bend thereat with respect to the outer band without fracture. Stress points exist at the constricted portion, whereby manipulating one of the pair of shoulders causes severing of the paper clip configuration from the sheet of clips.
Abstract:
A gas cylinder coupling and weighing mechanism useful in a carbonated drink dispenser having a gas cylinder. The coupling and weighing mechanism supports the cylinder rotatably within a hood, the hood forming a lever which is biased upwardly by a spring. A full cylinder will pull the hood all the way down. As the cylinder is emptied, the hood will begin to move upward and when the cylinder is empty the hood will be fully upward. Mounted inside the hood is a fitting engaging with a mating fitting on the gas cylinder. The mating fitting is equipped with a pair of arms which are aligned with locking slots contained within the mating fitting which are used to engage pins on the fitting inside the hood when mounting the gas cylinder.
