    Abstract: Reference signal and transmitter (Tx)/receiver (Rx) precoding for user equipment (UE) multiplexing in new radio (NR) shared spectrum networks is discussed. In certain reference signals, a base station may schedule multiple UEs for transmission of uplink reference signals within an identified subframe. The base station may transmit a reference signal configuration message, wherein the reference signal configuration message includes a transmission sequence identifier identifying a multiplexing for antenna ports assigned for transmission of the uplink reference signals. The multiplexing may be one or both of frequency divisional multiplexing (FDM) and time division multiplexing (TDM) over the identified subframe. Additional reference signals, transmit precoders may be identified by the base station based on channel inversion calculations of the channel matrix determined based on uplink reference signals.

    Abstract: Channel clearance using a shared radio frequency spectrum band may be performed for both a base station and a user equipment (UE). A base station may perform a listen before talk (LBT) procedure and verify one or more channels in a shared radio frequency spectrum band are available for transmissions and, if the LBT procedure is successful, transmit a pre-grant transmission to one or more UEs. The UEs may perform an LBT procedure for channel(s) indicated in the pre-grant transmission. If the UE LBT procedure passes, the UE may transmit a channel clearance signal, and may transmit a feedback communication responsive to the pre-grant transmission. The feedback communication may indicate, for example, the pre-grant transmission was received and which of the one or more channels are available based on the LBT procedure. The base station may receive the feedback communication and initiate transmissions to the UE.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to reservation signal transmission and detection for spectrum sharing are provided. A first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, a reservation request (RRQ) signal to reserve a transmission opportunity (TXOP) in a shared spectrum, wherein the shared spectrum is shared by a plurality of network operating entities, and wherein the first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device are associated with a first network operating entity of the plurality of network operating entities. The first wireless communication device transmits a reservation response (RRS) signal indicating an interference tolerance level of the first wireless communication device.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication. Wireless devices may exchange data using Medium Access Control (MAC) layer units known as transport blocks which may include a number of code blocks (CBs). A receiving device may attempt to decode each CB and send acknowledgement (ACK) and negative-acknowledgment (NACK) feedback to the transmitting device based on the whether each CB was successfully decoded. The receiving device may determine a format from two or more available formats for transmitting the ACK/NACK feedback. The format for the ACK/NACK feedback may be determined based at least in part on a number of CBs received and a number of CBs that have a NACK feedback. ACK/NACK feedback may be provided on an individual CB basis, or for bundles of CBs. The transmitting device may perform blind decoding of the received feedback to determine the ACK/NACK format and CBs that have NACK feedback.

    Abstract: Improvements to asynchronous spatial listen before talk (LBT) procedures are disclosed. In a shared spectrum network spatial LBT procedures are used for directionally targeting the channel reservation process. Prior to transmitting channel reservation signaling, the transmitter and receiver determine an effective interference considering available multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) configuration information. When the effective interference exceeds a predefined threshold, the node may without transmission of its channel reservation signal. Otherwise, when the effective interference remains within the threshold, each node's transmitted channel reservation signal may also identify at least a beamforming matrix either as payload or used to precede the node's channel reservation signal.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to considering channel variations for medium sharing in a spatial domain are provided. A first wireless communication device transmits one or more reservation response signals indicating spatial channel information in response to a reservation request for a transmission opportunity (TXOP) in a frequency spectrum. The first wireless communication device receives, from a second wireless communication device, a communication signal from a first spatial subspace during the TXOP based on the reservation request. In one embodiment, the first wireless communication device may repeat a transmission of the reservation response signal after transmitting a portion of the communication signal. In another embodiment, the first wireless communication device may include a channel variation parameter in the reservation response signal.
