Abstract: Methods and apparatus for communication comprise storing a first portion of a set of frequencies in a frequency measurement list, wherein the first portion of the set of frequencies includes a first sequence of one or more frequencies. The methods and apparatus further comprise storing a second portion of the set of frequencies in a frequency waitlist when a maximum frequency measurement list size meets or exceeds a maximum frequency measurement list size threshold value, wherein the second portion of the set of frequencies includes a second sequence of one or more frequencies. Moreover, the methods and apparatus comprise performing a communication procedure based on one or more frequencies stored in one or both of the frequency measurement list and the frequency waitlist.
