Abstract:
The present disclosure presents a method and an apparatus for reporting a user equipment (UE) transmission power headroom (UPH) of a secondary uplink carrier at the UE. For example, the method may include activating the secondary uplink carrier upon receiving a message from a base station in communication with the UE to activate the secondary uplink carrier, determining whether the UE has data available for transmission from the UE to the base station, computing a UPH value of the secondary uplink carrier in response to determining that the UE has data available for transmission, and transmitting the computed UPH value to the base station. As such, timely reporting of a secondary uplink carrier UPH to improve performance may be achieved.
Abstract:
Aspects presented herein may enable a UE to guide its user to return to an area with cellular coverage when the UE is about to become out-of-service (OOS) and/or after the UE becomes OOS. In one aspect, a UE detects that the UE is within a threshold distance of an edge cell of a set of cells for a network. The UE records a set of locations of the UE with a cellular coverage based on detecting that the UE is within the threshold distance of the edge cell. The UE detects that the UE is OOS or soon to be OOS of the network. The UE indicates at least one location in the set of locations of the UE in response to a detection that the UE is OOS.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure include methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for establishing a plurality of sessions with a plurality of networks associated with a plurality of subscriptions, activating an inactivity timer associated with an absence of downlink (DL) reception in an active bandwidth part of a plurality of configured bandwidth parts, failing to maintain at least one connection with a network of the plurality of networks during a tune-away gap, identifying an expiration of the inactivity timer during the tune-away gap, restoring the at least one connection with the network after the tune-away gap, and attempting to decode DL information in at least one slot for two or more bandwidth parts of the plurality of configured bandwidth parts.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) detects a collision between a duration in time domain configured to receive downlink data for a dedicated data subscription (DDS) subscription of the MSIM UE and a first paging occasion configured to receive a paging message for a non-DDS (n-DDS) subscription of the MSIM UE. The UE may then monitor a second paging occasion different from the first paging occasion for the paging message, the second paging occasion configured to avoid collision with the duration in time domain.
Abstract:
Aspects relate to reducing interference in multi-subscriber identity module card (MSIM) wireless communication devices. The wireless communication device may select a first cell for communication in a first frequency band of a first frequency range utilizing a first SIM card. The wireless communication device may further identify a cell subset of set of cells operating in respective second frequency bands of a second frequency range that each minimize interference with the first frequency band. The wireless communication device may then select a second cell of the cell subset for communication utilizing a second SIM card.
