Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, the apparatus is configured to determine a target receiver power level for uplink transmissions received at the apparatus, to determine uplink power control information based on the determined target receiver power level for UL MU-MIMO transmission or UL OFDMA transmission, and to transmit a frame that includes the determined uplink power control information to a station scheduled by the apparatus for uplink transmission.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for uplink (UL) multiuser multiple-input, multiple-output (MU-MIMO) transmissions in a High Efficiency WLAN (HEW) system. One example method generally includes generating a packet having a preamble portion and transmitting the packet. The preamble portion typically includes a long training field (LTF); a first signal (SIG) field subsequent to the LTF; one or more other LTFs located subsequent to the first SIG field; and at least one second SIG field, wherein all SIG fields in the preamble portion, other than the first SIG field, are subsequent to the one or more other LTFs. Another example method generally includes receiving, from an apparatus, a packet having a preamble portion comprising tone-interleaved LTFs; and performing frequency offset adjustment on the packet based on the tone-interleaved LTFs.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure provide example preamble formats with repeated signal (SIG) fields that may help provide backwards compatibility and help address the effects of larger delay spreads in various wireless bands (e.g., WiFi bands).
Abstract:
Access points communicate via a discovery channel. For example, access points may transmit at a higher transmit power and at a lower rate on the discovery channel than on operating channels. In this way, the radio frequency range of the discovery channel is longer than the range of any of the operating channels. Consequently, a particular access point can communicate with and thereby account for other access points that the particular access point might not hear via an operating channel.
