Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify that the UE is in communication with a first slice of a network via a first control entity at the UE, and may determine that the UE is to further communicate with a second slice of the network. The UE may transmit a control message associated with the first control entity, where the control message may include a request pertaining to communications with the second slice. The UE may receive, in response to the control message and at the first control entity, a reconfiguration message indicating a configuration for using the second slice. The UE may communicate with the second slice of the network based on the configuration.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from at least one of a master node (MN) or a secondary node (SN), one or more radio access network visible quality of experience (RVQoE) configurations, wherein the UE is operating in a dual connectivity mode with the MN and the SN. The CE may transmit, to at least one of the MN or the SN, at least one RVQoE measurement report based at least in part on the one or more RVQoE configurations. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive information identifying a set of network slice specific cell selection evaluation parameters, wherein the set of network slice specific cell selection evaluation parameters include one or more parameter values associated with a characteristic of a type of cell selection that is to be performed. The UE may perform the type of cell selection in accordance with the set of network slice specific cell selection evaluation parameters. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a message indicating a common pool of resources for a random access channel (RACH). The UE may initiate a random access by transmitting, to the base station, a first RACH preamble in a RACH occasion within a subset of the common pool of resources. The subset is selected based at least in part on a use case that triggered the random access. In some aspects, the UE may transmit an initial RACH preamble and/or a RACH pay load in order to activate the subset. As an alternative, the UE may transmit an initial RACH preamble and/or a RACH payload in order to receive an indication of the subset for the use case that triggered the random access. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a configuration for a set of random access channel (RACH) procedure types for a bandwidth part of the UE, each RACH procedure type in the set of RACH procedure types being different from at least some if not all the other RACH procedure types in the set of RACH procedure types. The UE may select a RACH procedure type from the set of RACH procedure types for the RACH procedure based at least in part on the indication of the configuration for the set of RACH procedure types and on a trigger to perform a RACH procedure for a network slice. The UE may perform the RACH procedure for the network slice according to the RACH procedure type.
