Abstract: A muscular fatigue determination apparatus includes an information obtaining unit that obtains loads applied to a pedal of a bicycle, rotation speeds of a crank of the bicycle, and myoelectric potentials of a user, the myoelectric potentials and the loads being in a one-to-one relationship, the myoelectric potentials and the rotation speeds being in a one-to-one relationship, and a muscular fatigue information generation unit that generates muscular fatigue information regarding the user on the basis of whether a difference between the myoelectric potentials of the user is larger than a first threshold, each of the myoelectric potentials being associated to a load range that is one of load ranges and to a rotation speed range that is one of rotation speed ranges, each of the loads belonging to one of the load ranges and each of the rotation speed ranges belonging to one of the rotation speed ranges.

Abstract: A personal authentication apparatus includes a measuring circuit that measures a user electrocardiographic waveform using electrodes, a peak detector that detects peaks of first and second R waves and at least one of peaks of P and Q waves, and an acquirer. The acquirer expands/contracts a time interval between the peaks of the first and second R waves to a first time period and further (i) expands/contracts a time interval between the peaks of the first R wave and P wave to a second time period, (ii) expands/contracts a time interval between the peaks of the first R wave and Q wave to a third time period, or (iii) expands/contracts the time interval between the peaks of the first R wave and P wave to the second time period and expands/contracts the time interval between the peaks of the first R wave and Q wave to the third time period.

Abstract: An individual authentication method includes (i) indicating a first position of a user's arm or arms when gripping an electrocardiographic sensor, (ii) measuring the user's electrocardiographic activity at the first position by using the electrocardiographic sensor, (iii) indicating a second position of the user's arm or arms when gripping the electrocardiographic sensor, the second position being different from the first position, (iv) measuring the user's electrocardiographic activity at the second position by using the electrocardiographic sensor, (v) receiving ID information of the user, and (vi) registering, in a database, electrocardiographic authentication information including first authentication information associating the ID information with the user's electrocardiographic activity measured at the first position, and second authentication information associating the ID information with the user's electrocardiographic activity measured at the second position.

Abstract: An eyeglass-type electroencephalogram interface system is worn on the head of a user. The system includes: an output section for presenting a visual stimulation to the user; an ear electrode portion disposed at a position coming in contact with an ear of the user when the system is worn; a facial electrode portion disposed at a position coming in contact with the face below a straight line connecting an external canthus and an internal canthus of an eye of the user, such that the mass of the system is supported at the position, when the system is worn; and an electroencephalogram measurement and determination section for measuring an event-related potential on the basis of a potential difference between the ear electrode portion and the facial electrode portion based on the visual stimulation being presented by the output section as a starting point.
