    Abstract: A method for controlling a distance measurement apparatus including a light emitting device capable of changing a direction of emission of a light beam and a light receiving device that detects a reflected light beam includes acquiring data representing a plurality of images acquired at different points in time by an image sensor that acquires an image of a scene, determining, on the basis of the data representing the plurality of images, a degree of priority of distance measurement of one or more physical objects included in the plurality of images, and executing distance measurement of the one or more physical objects by causing the light emitting device to emit the light beam in a direction corresponding to the degree of priority and in an order corresponding to the degree of priority and causing the light receiving device to detect the reflected light beam.

    Abstract: A measurement apparatus includes a light source, a calibrating optical system, an interference optical system, a photosensitive device, a storage device, and a processing circuit. The interference optical system separates the light into reference light and output light and generates first interfering light and second interfering light. The photosensitive device outputs a first detection signal corresponding to an intensity of the first interfering light and a second detection signal corresponding to an intensity of the second interfering light. The processing circuit sends out, to the light source, a control signal that sweeps a frequency of the light that is emitted from the light source, updates, on the basis of the second detection signal, the correcting data stored in the storage device, and generates measurement data on the basis of the correcting data thus updated and the first detection signal.

    Abstract: A ranging apparatus includes: a main body including a light emitting device which is configured to emit a light beam in a plurality of directions at different elevation angles and a light detector which detects reflected light of the light beam; a signal processing circuit; a vibration detector; a control circuit. The signal processing circuit generates distance data based on a signal outputted from the light detector. The vibration detector detects a change in attitude of the main body attributed to vibration in distinction from a change in attitude of the main body attributed to an inclination of a ground surface at a location where the main body is installed, and outputs a vibration signal indicating an amount of change in the attitude attributed to the vibration. The control circuit corrects a direction of emission of the light beam by the light emitting device based on the vibration signal.

    Abstract: A filter array used in a light detection device, which generates image data corresponding to each of N wavelength bands (N being an integer greater than or equal to 2) included in a specific wavelength range, includes optical filters. The optical filters include various types of optical filters with different light transmittance with respect to each wavelength band. Mi≥0.1 with respect to each wavelength band, where Mi=μi−σi, μi denoting an average value of light transmittance of the optical filters with respect to light having a wavelength included in an i-th wavelength band (i being an integer greater than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to N) of the N wavelength bands, σi denoting a standard deviation of the light transmittance of the optical filters with respect to the light having the wavelength included in the i-th wavelength band.
