Abstract:
A user equipment and a circuit-switched fallback method thereof are provided. An initial base station sends a radio resource control connection release message containing the redirection frequency list to the UE. The redirection frequency list includes at least one redirection frequency. The UE determines a priority of the at least one redirection frequency according to a current registered LAI, a learning database and a piece of signal reference information of the redirection frequency list. Accordingly, the UE executes a circuit switch fallback procedure according to the priority of the at least one redirection frequency.
Abstract:
A communications device and method for a carrier search are provided. The communication apparatus includes an RF signal processing device, a processor, and a memory device. The RF signal processing device receives a plurality of main system information and extra system information broadcasted by service networks. The processor is configured to check whether the extra system information corresponding to a second cell has been broadcasted by a detected network when a first center frequency of a first cell corresponding to a target radio access technology has been searched, and search a second center frequency of the second cell according to the extra system information corresponding to the second cell. All or a port of carriers are skipped according to the extra system information corresponding to the second cell. The memory device stores the main and extra system information received from detected service networks.
Abstract:
A wireless communication method and Multi-SIM user equipment are provided. The wireless communication method for Multi-SIM dual standby (DSDS) technology is applied on Multi-SIM user equipment (UE) which is capable of carrier aggregation (CA) or dual connectivity (DuCo). The wireless communication method includes the steps of determining whether a packet switch (PS) or circuit switch (CS) paging is received on a second SIM card when a first PS call is ongoing in a first SIM card; and suspending the first PS call which is ongoing on the first SIM card if the packet switch (PS) or circuit switch (CS) paging is received on the second SIM card.
Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure provide a method for setting up a call for a user equipment. The method includes receiving, by the user equipment, a measurement configuration message that specifies a set of measurement events corresponding to poor signal quality between the user equipment and a packet-switched network, and sending, by the user equipment, a measurement report when one of the set of measurement events occurs while performing a first call setup process for setting up the call using the packet-switched network. The method also includes terminating the first call setup process after sending the measurement report that indicates poor signal quality between the user equipment and the packet-switched network, and sending, by the user equipment, a service request to begin a second call setup process for setting up the call for the user equipment using a circuit-switched network after terminating the first call setup process.
Abstract:
The method and apparatus for switching networks are provided. The network switching method is applied to the packet switching service of user equipment (UE). The network switching method includes the steps of determining the adoption priorities of a standard switching mechanism and a non-standard switching mechanism according to decision information.
Abstract:
A communications apparatus is provided. A first radio module provides a first wireless communications service and communicates with a first communications device in compliance with a first protocol. A second radio module provides a second wireless communications service and communicates with a second communications device in compliance with a second protocol. A Co-Located Coexistence radio manager detects activities of the first radio modules, obtains a first traffic pattern describing downlink and/or uplink traffic allocations of the first radio module from the first radio module, and generates a second traffic pattern of the second radio module according to the first traffic pattern to coordinate operations of the first and second radio modules. An associated method is also provided.
Abstract:
Various solutions for improving data throughput with respect to a multiple subscriber identity module (SIM) user equipment (UE) in mobile communications are described. The UE may perform data transmission associated with a first SIM. The UE may determine whether to suspend a recovery procedure associated with a second SIM according to a condition. The UE may suspend the recovery procedure associated with the second SIM in an event that the condition is satisfied. The UE may further resume the recovery procedure associated with the second SIM when the first SIM enters an idle mode.
Abstract:
A mobile communication device including a wireless transceiver and a controller is provided. The wireless transceiver performs wireless transmission and reception to and from a service network. The controller operates in a connected mode with a connection to the service network, and determines whether there is no active data traffic in a first period of time when operating in the connected mode. In response to there being no active data traffic in the first period of time, the controller performs a local release of the connection or sends a measurement report to trigger the service network to release the connection.
Abstract:
To facilitate LWA PDCP setting/scheduling, a method of providing dynamic PDCP status report polling is proposed. To enhance scheduling efficiency, the transmitter (can be eNB from DL or UE for UL) can dynamically poll PDCP status report for LWA behavior. The polling can be done by a standalone PDCP control PDU or use reserved bit in PDCP data PDU. The triggering condition for PDCP status polling includes: PDCP without poll time exceeds a first threshold, PDCP without poll bytes exceeds a second threshold, PDCP without poll PDU numbers exceeds a third threshold, a data buffer is empty, and when LWA is deactivated.
Abstract:
A communications apparatus includes at least two cellular system radio transceivers capable of simultaneously performing transmitting/receiving radio activities in two cellular networks and a control entity. The control entity is coupled to the cellular system radio transceivers, collects radio activity information of the cellular system radio transceivers, determines whether interference will occur or is occurring and which cellular system radio transceiver is an aggressor transceiver and which cellular system radio transceiver is a victim transceiver when the interference occurs according to the radio activity information, and further determines control information according to the radio activity information for controlling the aggressor transceiver or the victim transceiver to mitigate the interference. The aggressor transceiver is the cellular system radio transceiver having the transmitting radio activity that will interfere or interferes with the receiving radio activity of the victim transceiver.
