    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include a first compression chamber, a second compression chamber separated from the first compression chamber, and having a greater compression ratio than the first compression chamber, a first discharge port that communicates with the first compression chamber and provided with a first discharge inlet and a first discharge outlet, and a second discharge port separated from the first discharge port, that communicates with the second compression chamber, and provided with a second discharge inlet and a second discharge outlet, the discharge outlet of at least one of the first discharge port or the second discharge port may have a larger sectional area than the discharge inlet. Accordingly, a discharge delay in each compression chamber may be prevented in advance, thereby suppressing compression loss.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include an orbiting scroll having an orbiting wrap, and which performs an orbiting motion; and a fixed scroll having a fixed wrap to form a compression chamber including a suction chamber, an intermediate pressure chamber, and a discharge chamber, by being engaged with the orbiting wrap. In a state in which the orbiting scroll and the fixed scroll are concentric with each other, when a distance between the orbiting wrap and the fixed wrap is defined as an orbiting radius, there exists an offset section having an interval larger than the orbiting radius, between a side surface of the orbiting wrap and a side surface of the fixed wrap which faces the orbiting wrap. With such a configuration, even if the fixed scroll or the orbiting scroll is transformed due to thermal expansion, interference between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap at a portion having a large transformation amount may be prevented. This may prevent a frictional loss or abrasion between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap. Further, this may restrict or minimize a gap between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap at an opposite side to the suction chamber, resulting in enhanced compression efficiency.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include a first scroll provided with a discharge port, a second scroll engaged with the first scroll to form a first compression chamber and a second compression chamber, and a rotational shaft provided with an eccentric portion eccentrically coupled to the first scroll or the second scroll The eccentric portion may overlap the first and second compression chambers in a radial direction. The discharge port may be provided with at least one discharge inlet and a discharge outlet The at least one discharge inlet may include a plurality of discharge inlets, which have different areas from each other, whereby a refrigerant of each compression chamber may be smoothly discharged, thereby preventing an over-compression loss due to a delay of discharge.

    Abstract: A rotary compressor is provided that may include a casing, a cylinder having an inner circumferential surface in an annular shape, a roller rotatably disposed in a compression space of the cylinder, a rotational shaft coupled to an inner circumference of the roller, main and sub bearings defining surfaces of the compression space, and a sub bearing cover coupled to the sub bearing to cover one end of the sub bearing and defining a discharge chamber with the sub bearing to communicate with the compression space so as to accommodate compressed refrigerant to be discharged. The sub bearing or the sub bearing cover may include a first barrier rib that protrudes from a surface thereof located inside of the discharge chamber. The first barrier rib may be spaced apart from a surface opposite to the surface within the discharge chamber by a predetermined distance.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor is provided that may include an orbiting scroll having an orbiting wrap, and which performs an orbiting motion; and a fixed scroll having a fixed wrap to form a compression chamber including a suction chamber, an intermediate pressure chamber, and a discharge chamber, by being engaged with the orbiting wrap. A wrap thickness of the fixed wrap may be greater than a wrap thickness of the orbiting wrap within a range which forms the suction chamber. With such a configuration, even if the fixed scroll or the orbiting scroll is thermally-expanded, a transformation of the fixed wrap at a suction side may be prevented. This may prevent a gap between the fixed wrap and the orbiting wrap at an opposite side to the suction side, thereby enhancing compression efficiency.
