Abstract: Provided are a vehicle control device capable of displaying a high quality seamless image without data transmission delay and a difference in image quality between a plurality of displays, and a method thereof. The vehicle control device includes a plurality of different displays installed in a vehicle and a controller generating a first image having a plurality of pieces of first information, generating a second image having a plurality of pieces of second information, merging the first and second images, dividing the merged image into a plurality of images, and displaying the plurality of divided images on a plurality of displays, respectively.

Abstract: Disclosed is an AR image provision method of a vehicle navigation system, including transmitting, by a processor, information on a guide point or vehicle speed information to an external server, searching, by an external server, for candidate vehicles based on the information on the guide point or the vehicle speed information, selecting, by the external server, an image providing vehicle from among the candidate vehicles according to priority set by the processor, generating, by the external server, a graphical object to be displayed in a camera image received from the image providing vehicle using augmented reality (AR), and displaying, by the processor, AR image information on the guide point including the camera image and the graphical object on a navigation screen.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a display device comprising: a communication unit for communicating with a cloud server; an interface unit for obtaining an image of the periphery of a vehicle by means of a camera, and receiving sensing information collected from at least one sensor; an MR module for rendering MR information, comprising a virtual object, on the basis of the sensing information and map information received from the cloud server; and a processor extracting an image, corresponding to a lateral surface of a building around the vehicle, from the obtained image, generating a texture image corresponding to the lateral surface of the building from the extracted image and transmitting same to the cloud server, receiving, from the cloud server, map information comprising models of buildings to which building textures on the basis of texture images are mapped, and displaying MR information rendered on the basis of the map information on a display provided in the vehicle.

The method for controlling an XR device of a vehicle includes acquiring a camera view by capturing an image in front of the vehicle; acquiring position information of the vehicle by detecting a position of the vehicle, acquiring movement information of the vehicle by detecting movement of the vehicle, and providing navigation of an augmented reality (AR) mode displaying at least one virtual object for guiding a path by overlapping the at least one virtual object on the camera view based on at least the position information of the vehicle or the movement information of the vehicle.
