Abstract: A method and a device for transmitting metadata in a WFD are provided. Particularly, a WFD source forms a WFD frame including a WFD header and metadata. The WFD source transmits, to a WFD sink, a packet stream created by packetizing a metadata stream including the WFD frame. The WFD header includes a metadata structure field and a metadata update indicator. The metadata structure field indicates whether the metadata has a video metadata structure or an audio metadata structure. The metadata update indicator indicates that previous metadata is updated such that all of the previous metadata is replaced with new metadata, or that the previous metadata is incrementally updated together with updated metadata.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for switching an input character in a WFD are disclosed. The method for switching an input character in a WFD comprises the steps of: transmitting, by a first WFD device, a character switch capability parameter to a second WFD device through a UIBC capability negotiation process with the second WFD device; transmitting, by the first WFD device, a first character switch establishment parameter to the second WFD device through a UIBC capability UIBC establishment process so as to establish the first character outputted onto each screen of the first WFD device and the second WFD device; transmitting, by the first WFD device, a key code for a character switch button through a UIBC to the second WFD device through a user input device of the first WFD device; and transmitting, by the first WFD device, a second character switch establishment parameter to the second WFD device through a UIBC re-establishment process so as to switch, to the second character, the first character outputted onto each screen of the first WFD device and the second WFD device.

The method includes receiving, by a first wireless device, a basic trigger frame for an uplink multi-user (UL MU) transmission from a second wireless device, in which the basic trigger frame includes preference information related to an Access Category (AC) type for an aggregation frame that is to be generated by the first wireless device and limit information related to a maximum number of traffic identifiers allowed for the aggregation frame; generating, by the first wireless device, the aggregation frame with a plurality of Quality of Service (QoS) data frames of the first wireless device based on the preference information and the limit information; generating, by the first wireless device, the uplink frame based on the aggregation frame and a QoS null frame set to a no acknowledgement (ACK) policy regardless of the preference information and the limit information, in which the QoS null frame is not required to be acknowledged by the second wireless device based on the no ACK policy; and transmitting, by the first wireless device, the uplink frame to the second wireless device in response to the basic trigger frame.
