Abstract:
A fan apparatus includes a casing and a fan unit. The casing is a hollow member having an inlet and an outlet. The fan unit has an inlet and an outlet, and includes a plurality of axial fans. The fan unit is disposed on the inside of the casing, and the inlet of the fan unit is disposed in the vicinity of the inlet of the casing. The position of the fan unit within the casing can be varied in order to alter the air flow and static pressure of the air discharged by the fan apparatus.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus designed to interface with different monitors which processes image data read from a video random access memory (VRAM) so as to display an image corresponding to the image data on a screen of a display unit under a control of a central processing unit (CPU). The image processing apparatus at least provides a plurality of registers and a memory for storing several kinds of reference data for several kinds of predetermined modes. When one mode is selected from the predetermined modes, one of a color display and a monochromatic display is selectively performed on a screen of one of a color monitor and a monochromatic monitor or a screen of one of moniters each having different standard. The reference data corresponding to the selected mode are read from the memory and stored in the registers. When the selected mode is changed, reference data stored in requisite registers selected by newly selected mode are automatically rewritten by the reference data selected by the newly selected mode without exchanging programs of the CPU.
Abstract:
An internal combustion engine with an apparatus for controlling supercharging pressure. The engine includes at its exhaust pipe a by-pass conduit by-passing a turbine of the supercharger. A by-pass valve (so-called waste gate valve) is arranged in the by-pass conduit, which by-pass valve is connected to a diaphragm type actuator. The actuator has a diaphragm opened to the intake pipe at a position between the compressor of the supercharger and a throttle valve. A fixed orifice is arranged in the conduit. The conduit is at a position between the fixed orifice and the actuator connected to the atmosphere via variable orifice. The orifice is operated in accordance with the engine acceleration condition so that the pressure at which the by-pass valve is opened is increased when the engine is accelerating.
Abstract:
An internal combustion engine with a supercharger, for use in a vehicle having an acceleration pedal. A throttle valve disposed in an intake system of the engine is interlocked with the acceleration pedal and is movable between an idle position when the acceleration pedal is in a non-load position and a full-open position when the acceleration pedal is in a predetermined intermediate-load position. The throttle valve is held in its full-open position when the acceleration pedal is between the predetermined intermediate-load position and a full-load position. A control device is interlocked with the acceleration pedal for controlling the operation of the supercharger so as to cause the same to perform its supercharging only when the acceleration pedal is between the predetermined intermediate-load position and the full-load position.
Abstract:
A ventilation fan includes a rotor holder rotating around a rotation axis, an impeller cup including a plurality of blades provided on an outer circumference thereof, and a base portion arranged to rotatably support the rotor holder through a bearing portion. The base portion includes an outer circumferential wall extending upwards in an axial direction from an outer circumferential edge portion thereof. A gap defining a labyrinth structure is provided between an upper end portion of the outer circumferential wall of the base portion and a lower end portion of an outer circumferential portion of the impeller cup. A lower end portion of a cylindrical portion is located axially lower than the upper end portion of the outer circumferential wall of the base portion.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an image pickup apparatus 100 including an image display section 32 to identify and display a face which is detected in an image frame, an operation section 4 having cursor buttons of up, down, left and right and a set button which are respectively corresponded with a plurality of areas which divide the image frame and a CPU 71 to switch the area in the image frame which is to be a target for face detection based on pressing of any of the buttons by a user. According to the image pickup apparatus 100, the targeted area for face detection can be changed promptly while confirming the condition in which the face is detected in the image frame.
Abstract:
It is provided a connecting portion for a boarding bridge that eliminates the level difference between the doorway portion of the aircraft and the passage, reduces the anxiety of the passengers, and can be raised and lowered smoothly. A passage (27) is formed by a stationary passage (29) and an alignment passage (31) that is arranged at the distal end portion of the stationary passage (29) and adjusts the level difference between the stationary passage (29) and the doorway portion (23); the alignment passage (31) includes an elevating floor (35), on the stationary passage (29) side, having a pivot shafts (41) that is substantially perpendicular to the passenger traffic direction (T) and pivots centered on the pivot shafts (41), and an alignment floor (37), at the stationary passage (29) side, having a pivot shafts (53) that extends in a direction that is perpendicular to the passenger traffic direction (T) and that pivots centered on the pivot shafts (53); and wherein one of either the elevating floor (35) or the alignment floor (37) is installed at the stationary passage (29), the latter is installed in-plane to the former, and thereunder a sliding floor (39) that can be raised or lowered is installed in the passenger traffic direction (T).
Abstract:
A boarding bridge is provided that has an inexpensive, trouble-free, and strong construction, that eliminates the level differences between the passage portions of adjacent passage sections, and can reduce the occurrence of passengers falling and the like. In the boarding bridge (1), a proximal end tunnel (7) and a distal end tunnel (9) are telescopically fit, and are extended and retracted by moving relative to each other in a longitudinal direction. At the passage portion of the distal end tunnel (9) are provided a passage member (33) having, at a passage portion of the distal end tunnel (9), one end thereof connected to the end portion of the stationary passage (29) of the proximal end tunnel (7), having a distal end passage portion (31) that has at least a predetermined length in a longitudinal direction, and having the other end thereof installed at the proximal end tunnel (7); sprockets (35) that are installed at the lower portion of the distal end tunnel of the distal end tunnel (9) such that the position thereof does not move, and that guide the passage member (33) in a vertical direction; a sheave (37) that is installed at the lower portion of the back end portion of the distal end tunnel (9) such that the position thereof does not move, and that guides the passage member (33) in a vertical direction; and a spring member (39) that applies a tension to the passage member (33).
