According to an embodiment, a device includes a memory and processing circuitry. When time taken by a user to carry out first behavior is equal to or more than a first threshold, or when number of times the first behavior is repeated is equal to or more than a second threshold, the processing circuitry is configured to output first guidance to lead the user to first expected behavior that is behavior the user is expected to carry out subsequent to the first behavior. When the time taken to carry out the first behavior is less than the first threshold, or when the number of times the first behavior is repeated is less than the second threshold, the processing circuitry is configured to omit the first guidance to lead the user to the first expected behavior or outputs second guidance that is simpler than the first guidance.

An image processing method according to an embodiment includes an image acquisition unit, a calculation unit, a region acquisition unit and an estimation unit. The image acquisition unit acquires a target image. The calculation unit calculates a density distribution of targets included in the target image. The estimation unit estimates the density distribution in a first region in the target image based on the density distribution in a surrounding region of the first region in the target image.

The processing circuitry configured to acquire an input image captured by an image-capturing device installed in a specific location. The processing circuitry configured to perform adaptation processing of adapting an estimation model, which is used for detecting positions or the number of objects contained in an image, to the specific location by sequentially selecting a parameter of the estimation model from a lower level toward a higher level, and by modifying the selected parameter in such a manner to reduce an estimation error in the positions or the number of the objects contained in the input image. According to an embodiment, a density measuring device includes a first calculator, a second calculator, and a first generator. The first calculator calculates, from an image including objects of a plurality of classes classified according to a predetermined rule, for each of a plurality of regions formed by dividing the image, density of the objects captured in the region. The second calculator calculates, from the density of the objects captured in each of the regions, likelihood of each object class captured in each of the regions. The first generator generates density data, in which position corresponding to each of the regions in the image is assigned with the density of the object class having at least the higher likelihood than the lowest likelihood from among likelihoods calculated for object classes captured in the corresponding region.

According to one embodiment, an information associating apparatus includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire an acquisition image taken by a camera and individual identification information of the camera, an analysis unit configured to analyze attribute information of the camera from an attribute information expression body shown in the acquisition image, a detection unit configured to detect an pattern representing a specific direction recorded in the acquisition image and an association unit configured to form a pair by associating the individual identification information and the attribute information based on a detection result concerning the specific direction calculated from the pattern.
