Abstract: A terminal device reports a measurement capability to a network side, and the network side determines, based on the capability of the terminal device and a trigger condition, whether a measurement gap needs to be allocated to the terminal device, where the measurement gap is used by the terminal device to measure an inter-frequency or inter-RAT cell. When the network side allocates the measurement gap to the terminal device, and when the terminal device determines that an objective of not allocating a gap can be achieved by de-configuring a secondary cell or reducing a data receiving rule of a currently camped-on cell. When an inter-frequency or inter-RAT cell is measured by de-configuring the secondary cell or reducing the data receiving rule of the currently camped-on cell, a cell measurement task can be completed.

Abstract: A terminal supporting dual-receive single-transmit dual-card dual-standby single-pass includes a first subscriber identity module (SIM) card interface and a second SIM card interface. The first SIM card interface is configured to communicate with a first SIM card, and the second SIM card interface is configured to communicate with a second SIM card. When the terminal is in a first communications connection, the terminal receives a paging request for setting up a second communications connection. When the terminal receives the paging request for the second communications connection, if the terminal has a to-be-sent voice packet of the first communications connection, the terminal delays responding to the paging request for setting up the second communications connection, or if the terminal has no to-be-sent voice packet of the first communications connection, the terminal responds to the paging request for setting up the second communications connection.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide methods, apparatuses, and terminal devices for managing communications services. In an implementation, a method comprises: identifying, by an input device of a terminal device, an operation performed on the terminal device for entering a service mode that prioritizes data services over voice services; sending, by a subscriber identification module (SIM) card of the terminal device, one or more instructions to a network server, wherein the one or more instructions instruct the network server to disable the voice services of the SIM card; and in response to identifying the operation, activating, by the SIM card, the service mode by disabling a function on the terminal device corresponding to the voice services.
