Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide methods for transmitting and receiving a control channel, a base station, and a user equipment, which relate to the communication field, and can solve a transmission problem of available changing transmission resources caused by introduction of an E-PDCCH. A method includes determining, by a terminal device, a resource set and resource elements (REs) of predetermined overheads in the resource set. The REs of the predetermined overheads include an RE of at least one of a paging channel and a synchronization channel, with at least one of following REs: an RE of a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS), an RE of a cell-specific reference signal (CRS), an RE of a demodulation reference signal (DMRS), or a muted RE. The terminal device receives from a base station, a control channel on an RE subset comprised in the resource set, wherein the RE subset comprises a part of the REs in the resource set and do not contain the REs of the predetermined overheads.

Abstract: This application relates to the mobile communications field, and in particular, to a random access technology in a wireless communications system. This application provides a method for sending a random access preamble sequence, an apparatus, and a system. In this solution, a terminal device obtains a cyclic shift value that satisfies a high-speed movement scenario and sends a random access preamble sequence corresponding to the cyclic shift value. Impact brought by the high-speed movement scenario is considered when the random access preamble sequence is determined, thereby avoiding interference between terminal devices in the high-speed scenario.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for feeding back a channel quality indicator, and a method and an apparatus for sending resource scheduling information. An apparatus for feeding back a channel quality indicator includes: a determining module, configured to determine a feedback granularity of a CQI according to a system bandwidth, a CQI feedback mode, and antenna port quantity information specified by a network device; and a feedback module, configured to feed back the CQI to the network device according to the feedback granularity of the CQI. The method for feeding back a channel quality indicator, and the method and the apparatus for sending resource scheduling information provided in the embodiments of the present invention are used to reduce system overheads.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for determining a rank indication (RI) bit number, a base station, and a terminal. The method includes: determining, by a base station, indication information according to a correspondence between a terminal and the base station and a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) capability of the terminal, where the indication information includes information used by the terminal for determining a bit number occupied for sending a RI; and sending, by the base station, the indication information to the terminal, so that the terminal determines, according to the indication information, the bit number occupied for sending the RI. In the present invention, the UE and the base station agree or understanding of the bit number occupied by RI information.
