A video stream switching method includes receiving, by transmission device, a plurality of video streams of a first video and a plurality of video streams of a second video, sending the video streams of the first video through target output ports respectively corresponding to the video streams of the first video, after receiving a switching instruction, determining switching reference information of a reference end-of-frame packet of each video stream of the first video and the second video, determining switching reference information of a switching packet of the video stream, and switching from the video streams of the first video to the video streams of the second video based on the switching reference information of the switching packet of each video stream.

A switching device determines a video parameter value of a switching point of a first video stream, and determines a video parameter value of a switching point of a second video stream. The video parameter value includes a timestamp and/or a sequence number. The switching device determines an audio parameter value of a switching point of a first audio stream based on a timestamp of the switching point of the first video stream, and determines an audio parameter value of a switching point of a second audio stream based on a timestamp of the switching point of the second video stream. The audio parameter value includes a timestamp and/or a sequence number. The switching device performs switching based on determined switching points.

An over the top (OTT) live proxy server device includes a processor and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions for allocating a multicast resource to a specified channel according to a media description and resource allocation indication of the channel instructing the OTT live proxy server to allocate the multicast resource to the specified channel, the media description including at least one resolution of the specified channel and a uniform resource locator corresponding to resolution media data, and the multicast resource including a multicast group corresponding to the specified channel, obtaining, from an OTT server to which the specified channel belongs according to the media description of the specified channel, the resolution media data, converting the media data into multicast media data, and sending the multicast media data to the multicast group in a multicast manner.

The present invention discloses a method, an apparatus, and a system for monitoring quality of an OTT video, which can implement monitoring of quality of an OTT video in a convenient manner. An OTT video monitoring apparatus intercepts a message sent by an OTT video terminal to an OTT video source for requesting to watch an OTT video; sends a response message to the OTT video terminal, where the response message carries a monitoring instruction, so that the OTT video terminal obtains identifier information of the OTT video according to the monitoring instruction; the OTT video monitoring apparatus obtains the identifier information of the OTT video from the OTT video terminal; and monitors quality of the OTT video according to the identifier information of the OTT video.

Disclosed are a method, an apparatus, and a system for implementing video stream switching. The method can determine switching reference information of a first reference frame trailer packet of a first video stream and switching reference information of a second reference frame trailer packet of a second video stream, when receiving a switching instruction; and switch from the first video stream sent through the target egress port to the second video stream based on the switching reference information of the first switching packet and the switching reference information of the second switching packet. Because locations of data packets sent before and after switching are considered during video stream switching, damage caused by a switching operation to a transmitted video image can be effectively reduced.

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method includes: sending, by a terminal device, video server name information in video request information to a local domain name server; receiving, by the terminal device, address information of a buffer sent by the local domain name server, and sending the video request information to the buffer according to the address information of the buffer; detecting whether a video resource corresponding to video identification information in the video request information exists in the buffer; and if the video resource corresponding to the video identification information exists in the buffer, sending, by the buffer, the video resource to the terminal device. The present invention is applicable to transmission of a network video resource.
