    Abstract: This application provides a random access method and apparatus. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal, first indication information transmitted by a network device, where the first indication information is used to indicate a random access configuration index; determining, by the terminal, a random access resource based on the random access configuration index; determining, based on an association relationship between the random access resource and a downlink signal, a random access resource corresponding to the downlink signal; and transmitting a random access preamble to the network device based on the random access resource corresponding to the downlink signal.

    Abstract: This application discloses a communications method and apparatus. The method includes: obtaining, by a terminal device, downlink synchronization signal block index information; receiving, by the terminal device, information used to indicate an association relationship between a random access resource RO and a synchronization signal block; and accessing, by the terminal device, a network device based on the information on an RO corresponding to the synchronization signal block index information. This application further discloses a corresponding apparatus. A time-frequency location of a random access resource associated with each downlink synchronization signal is indicated, so that the terminal device obtains, through downlink synchronization, a time-frequency location for sending an uplink random access signal, to avoid a blind attempt of the terminal device and a beam mismatch of the network device occurring when the network device receives a random access signal, thereby improving efficiency.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the communications field, and provides a frame synchronization method, user equipment, and a base station, to implement frame time synchronization in a high-low frequency hybrid communications system. In one example method, a user equipment completes synchronization of a first frequency frame, determines a first moment of the synchronization of the first frequency frame, obtains a receive time difference, and completes synchronization of a second frequency frame according to the receive time difference and the first moment. The receive time difference is a time difference between a moment at which the user equipment receives the second frequency frame and a moment at which the user equipment receives the first frequency frame.

    Abstract: A transmission control method is disclosed. The transmission control method includes: sending, by a base station, downlink data to a terminal at a high frequency when detecting that the downlink data needs to be transmitted at the high frequency; and sending, by the terminal to the base station at the high frequency, control information used for assisting the base station in improving transmission quality of the high frequency downlink data, so that the base station controls a transmission process of the high frequency downlink data according to the control information. In an embodiment, the system includes a transmit end including a transmit module having at least two antenna units, the transmit module is configured to transmit M narrow beams with different spatial directions according to a quality of service requirement, and switches a transmit mode according to a preset switching rule, wherein a set of the spatial directions of the M narrow beams forms a transmit mode; a receive end including a receive module having at least two antenna units, the receive module is configured to receive N beams according to the QoS requirement, and a transmission channel is formed, wherein the receive end calculates transmission channel quality in different transmit modes, searches for a transmit mode that meets the QoS requirement, and feeds back the transmit mode to the transmit end.
