    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for positioning a terminal device. The method includes: generating, by a terminal device, a first message, where the first message includes one or more pieces of first time difference information, and the first time difference information includes a first time difference and information about a first positioning reference signal pair corresponding to the first time difference, where the first positioning reference signal pair includes a first uplink positioning reference signal and a first downlink positioning reference signal that have an association relationship, and the first time difference is a time difference between a sending time point of the first uplink positioning reference signal and a receiving time point of the first downlink positioning reference signal; and sending, by the terminal device, the first message to a network device.

    Abstract: Positioning methods and apparatus are provided to implement high-precision positioning while a device is in a moving state can implement high-precision positioning. The positioning method includes receiving a first receive-transmit time difference and a displacement vector of a second device, and determining a location of a first device based on the first receive-transmit time difference, the displacement vector of the second device, and a second receive-transmit time difference. The method may be applied to the first device. The first device may determine a transmission distance of a reference signal between the two devices based on the first receive-transmit time difference and the second receive-transmit time difference, and may determine a relative displacement between the two devices based on the displacement vector of the second device.

    Abstract: This application provides a communication method and a communication apparatus. In comparison with an implementation in which a first device performs positioning based on measurement results corresponding to reference signals transmitted on a plurality of paths, a first measurement result sent to the first device is a measurement result corresponding to a first reference signal transmitted on a single path. In this way, interference of multipath transmission can be avoided in a process in which the first device performs positioning based on the first measurement result, and positioning accuracy is improved. In the method, the communication apparatus receives first request information from the first device, and the first request information is used to request to report the measurement result of the first reference signal. The communication apparatus measures the first reference signal transmitted on a first path, to obtain the first measurement result.
