Abstract:
Disclosed herein a method for configuration of semi-managed DHT based on NDN and system therefor. The method includes: managing and sharing manager nodes based on global information; generating a sub-range segment by partitioning a keyspace area, according to each group of the data peer nodes; managing the sub-range segment by distributing the sub-range segment corresponding to each group to data peer nodes of the each group; checking and analyzing liveness of the data peer node in the each group; estimating availability of the data peer nodes by predicting lifetime of data peer nodes through the checking and analyzing of liveliness; performing risk factor prediction that estimates data availability and sub-range management overhead; and performing a sub-range management decision at each of the manager nodes based on a result of the risk factor prediction, and performing a global stabilization decision required for global system stabilization.
Abstract:
A protection switching management apparatus and method for effective use of resources in a multilayer or a multi-domain. The protection switching management method may include receiving an adaptation request from a network component included in an upper layer, determining whether to apply protection switching to a layer based on the received adaptation request, and setting a protection path in the layer based on a result of the determining.
Abstract:
Provided herein is a proxy tunnel end point apparatus including a tunnel management unit configured to generate a tunnel; a VNID management unit configured to generate a VSI for a VNID; a tunnel packet end point unit configured to terminate the tunnel, extract VNID information from the packet, and transmit the terminated L2 packet to the VSI corresponding to the VNID; a VSI unit having a virtual port corresponding to each terminated tunnel in the tunnel packet end point unit, and configured to perform L2 switching on the terminated L2 packet transmitted from the tunnel packet end point unit and to transmit the L2 packet to a destination virtual port; and a tunnel packet generation unit configured to transmit the packet to a second tunnel end point unit of a destination of transmission, based on a destination virtual port information.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for processing an address resolution protocol (ARP) packet that searches, with respect to an ARP packet received from an end system, for a media access control (MAC) address of another end system indicated by the received ARP packet, transmits a proxy response packet to the end system that transmits an ARP packet using the found MAC address, and thus reduces an overload of a Layer 3 (L3) network through the proxy response packet being transmitted to the end system that transmits the ARP packet is provided.
Abstract:
Provided is an operating method of a database server in a Virtual eXtensible Local Area Network (VXLAN) system including a network administrator, the database server, a switch and at least one end system. The database server may maintain a table including information about a network profile and information about a service profile, receive, from the switch, a request for information on a virtual station interface (VSI) type corresponding to a request message for setting up and canceling a VXLAN service that the switch receives from the at least one end system, retrieve a network property corresponding to the VSI type from the table in response to the request, and provide the retrieved network property to the switch.
