Abstract: Disclosed is a battery cell, a battery, a power consumption apparatus and a method and an apparatus for producing a battery cell. The battery cell includes: a housing, with a first opening; an electrode assembly, arranged in the housing; an end cover assembly, including an end cover, a pressure relief mechanism and a first insulating member, the end cover covers the first opening, the pressure relief mechanism is arranged on the end cover, the pressure relief mechanism is configured, when an internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell reaches a threshold, to be actuated, the first insulating member is located on a side of the end cover close to the electrode assembly to isolate the electrode assembly and the end cover, and the first insulating member is configured that a projection on the end cover along a thickness direction of the end cover covers the pressure relief mechanism.

Abstract: A pressure relief apparatus used for a battery cell includes a pressure relief body and two pressure relief grooves. The pressure relief body has a first surface and a second surface disposed opposite in its thickness direction. The two pressure relief grooves are disposed opposite in the thickness direction and disposed on the first surface and the second surface separately, a weak portion is formed between the two pressure relief grooves, and the weak portion is configured to rupture when a pressure or temperature inside the battery cell reaches a threshold, so as to release the pressure inside the battery cell.

Abstract: A battery cell may include: a housing having an opening; an electrode assembly, accommodated in the housing, where a first tab may be disposed on the electrode assembly at an end oriented toward the opening; and an end cap, configured to fit and cover the opening, where the end cap may include a first connector and a rupturable structure. The rupturable structure may be disposed along an edge of the first connector. The end cap may rupture along the rupturable structure when an internal pressure of the battery cell reaches a threshold, so as to release the internal pressure. The battery cell may further include a fixing structure, and the fixing structure may fixedly connect the first connector to the first tab, so as to restrict movement of the first connector.
