Abstract: In one implementation, a method of performing late-stage shift is performed at a device including a display, one or more processors, and non-transitory memory. The method includes generating, based on a first predicted pose of the device for a display time period, a first image. The method includes generating a mask indicating a first region of the first image and a second region of the first image. The method includes generating a second image by shifting, based on a second predicted pose of the device for the display time period, the first region of the first image without shifting the second region of the first image. The method includes displaying, on the display at the display time period, the second image.

Abstract: In one implementation, a method for spatially designating private content. The method includes: presenting, via a display device, an indication of a private viewing region relative to a location of the computing system; determining a first location for presentation of graphical content; and presenting, via the display device, the graphical content at the first location. The method further includes: transmitting a characterization vector associated with the graphical content to at least one other device for display thereon according to a determination that the first location of the graphical content is outside of the private viewing area; and forgoing transmission of the characterization vector associated with the graphical content to the at least one other device according to a determination that the first location of the graphical content is inside of the private viewing area.

Abstract: A method includes recording a first video stream characterized by a first value of a first quality characteristic. The method includes determining that the first video stream satisfies a trigger criterion. The trigger criterion characterizes a threshold amount of video content change information. The method includes, in response to determining that the first video stream satisfies the trigger criterion, obtaining a second video stream characterized by a second value of a second quality characteristic. The second video stream includes scene information also included in the first video stream. The second value of the second quality characteristic is indicative of a higher quality video stream than the first value of the first quality characteristic. The method includes generating a third video stream by adding information from the second video stream to the first video stream. The third video stream corresponds to a higher quality version of the first video stream.

Abstract: In one implementation, a method of providing contextual computer-generated reality (CGR) digital assistant is performed at a device provided to deliver a CGR scene, the device including one or more processors, non-transitory memory, and one or more displays. The method includes obtaining image data characterizing a field of view captured by an image sensor. The method further includes identifying in the image data a contextual trigger for one of a plurality of contextual CGR digital assistants. The method additionally includes selecting a visual representation of the one of the plurality of contextual CGR digital assistants, where the visual representation is selected based on context and in response to identifying the contextual trigger. The method also includes presenting the CGR scene by displaying the visual representation of the one of the plurality of contextual CGR digital assistants, where the visual representation provides information associated with the contextual trigger.
