Abstract: A system is provided that determines a location of a user based on various criteria. The system may detect the location of a user based on the location of the user's device, as determined using a beacon signal, and an expected location of the user's device, as determined using schedule information. The system may process data representing the user's device location and expected location using a model to determine a confidence that a user is at a particular location. Based on the determined location, the system may perform various actions.

Abstract: Systems and methods for temporarily associating user accounts with voice-enabled devices are disclosed. A voice-enabled device, which may be associated with a default account, may be situated in an environment, such as a hotel room. A user may desire to utilize the voice-enabled device to perform one or more actions. In examples, some or all of the actions may require the use of a system resource not available to the default account. In these examples, the user may provide contact information to be used to send a message to personal device of the user to acquire user account information. Upon receipt of such information, the user account may be temporarily associated with the voice-enabled device, and may be dissociated from the voice-enabled device upon the lapse of a period of time and/or occurrence of a dissociation event.

Abstract: Techniques for disambiguating which profile, of multiple profiles, is to be used to respond to a user input are described. A device located in a communal space (e.g., a hotel room or suite of rooms, conference room, hospital room, etc.) may be associated with a device profile and a user profile of a user presently occupying the communal space. When the user inputs a command to the device (either by text or speech), a system associated with the device determines the profiles (e.g., a device profile and a user profile) associated with the device. The system determines one or more policies associated with the device. The one or more policies may correspond to rules for disambiguating which profile to use to execute with respect to the user input. Using the one or more policies, the system determines which profile is to be used, and causes a speechlet component to execute using information specific to the determined profile.

Abstract: A managed directory service receives a request from a first service to link a directory of a contractor service to the first service's directory. The managed directory service identifies a group within the directory of the contractor service and links the directories using this group. Abstract: An identity provider receives a request to configure authentication for enabling single sign-on to a service provider. The identity provider identifies the authentication protocols supported by the service provider and determines whether it is compatible with these authentication protocols. As a result of the identity provider being compatible with at least some of the authentication protocols, the identity provider generates configuration information that is usable by the service provider to configure the authentication. The identity provider transmits, to a computer system, a response that causes the computer system to be redirected to the service provider in order to provide information usable by the service provider to obtain the configuration information.
