An FM multiplex broadcasting and receiving system has an FM multiplex broadcast apparatus and an FM multiplex receiving apparatus. The FM multiplex broadcast apparatus has a reproducing device for reproducing, from a recording medium, an audio signal and character data associated with the audio signal recorded in the recording medium. The FM multiplex broadcast apparatus also includes a multiplex device and a frequency modulation device. The multiplex device multiplexes the audio signal with additional information such as the character data to generate a multiplex signal. The frequency modulation device frequency modulates a carrier with the multiplex signal to provide an FM multiplex broadcasting signal. The FM multiplexing receiving apparatus has a frequency demodulating device for frequency demodulating the FM multiplex broadcast signal to provide an audio signal and an additional information data signal, a displaying device displaying the additional information data signal.

Feedback control is carried out to maintain the rotational speed of an internal combustion engine during idling at a desirable speed determined according to the operating conditions of the engine by controlling an adjusting valve for controlling the amount of air to be fed to the engine. The actual rotational speed of the engine and the actual opening angle of the throttle valve are detected and when the actual rotational speed is lower than a predetermined value and at the same time the actual opening angle of the throttle valve is smaller than a predetermined value, the feedback control is carried out. Further, whether or not the driving power of the engine is operatively transmitted to the driving wheels is detected, and the predetermined value for the rotational speed of the engine is set at a higher value when the driving power is not transmitted to the driving wheels than when the driving power is transmitted to the driving wheels.

The invention provides a digital broadcast receiver which comprises a tuner 1 for selecting the desired broadcasting station from among a plurality of broadcasting stations, a demodulator circuit 3 for decoding a plurality of bit frames constituting the digital broadcast of the selected station, and a control circuit 4 for controlling the operation of the tuner and the demodulator circuit. With one broadcasting station selected, the control circuit 4 stops decoding at least one of the bit frames, and searches for other broadcasting station or stations of satisfactory reception condition utilizing free time resulting from stopping decoding. Upon the reception condition becoming impaired, the station being received is changed over to the station of satisfactory reception condition by the control circuit 4.

A data write apparatus includes a card conveyor path, a recording head, a sensor circuit, a Central Processing Unit (CPU), a drive circuit, and an enable section. A magnetic card is conveyed in the card conveyor path. The recording head is arranged on the card conveyor path and performs a recording operation on the magnetic card by energizing a winding coil. The sensor circuit is arranged on the card conveyor path near the recording head and detects the magnetic card conveyed in the card convey or path to output a detection signal. The CPU outputs write data to be written on the magnetic card in response to the detection signal from the sensor circuit. The drive circuit energizes the winding coil of the recording head on the basis of the write data from the CPU to perform the recording operation. The enable section enables the drive circuit for a predetermined time after the write data is output from the CPU to limit energization of the winding coil of the magnetic head to a time equal to or less than the predetermined time.

Abstract:
Provided is dried porous membrane composed of acrylonitrile polymer walls separating predominantly interconnecting small-size pores. The membrane has surface layers integrated with a support layer to form a single continuous acrylonitrile polymer phase. At least one of the surface layers has pores of from 0.001 to 0.05 micron in average size, and the support layer has pores which are on the average larger than the pores in the surface layer or layers. The membrane has a porosity of from 20% to 70% by volume and a fragility of below 30. The membrane exhibits improved mechanical properties.

A vehicle lamp includes, within a lamp chamber formed by a lamp body and a front cover, a light source, a columnar light guide having an incident portion at the end thereof in the vicinity of the light source, and an annular reflecting portion arranged in the vicinity of the light source side of the incident portion. The columnar light guide guides incident light from the light source, which enters via the incident portion, and irradiates the incident light from a light-emitting portion on a front side. The annular reflecting portion reflects light with a large emission angle, which has not been able to directly enter the incident portion from the light source, toward the incident portion. The light source is arranged on a central axis of the annular reflecting portion.

A radio receiver embodying the present invention comprises, a front-end circuit for selecting a broadcasting wave of a certain frequency from broadcasting waves received, a memory for storing a channel registering table, tuning key, and a control circuit. A channel registering table has a plurality of channels registered therein, and a frequency and register time for each channel are written thereon. The control circuit specifies a channel of which register time is closest to time of the depression of the key out of a plurality of channels registered in the table upon the depression of the key to command tuning operation of the channel to the front-end circuit. Thus, the radio receiver can be realized wherein the device body is compact, and even when a listener does not remember a channel registered, a desired channel can be tuned in with easy manipulation for a short period of time.
