Abstract:
Embodiments of the instant invention are directed to a domain management system, apparatus and method for hosting and assigning domain names. Embodiments of the domain management system comprise a name assignment system and a hosting system, wherein the hosting system comprises a domain retrieval system and a data storage apparatus. The name assignment system verifies availability and assigns domain names to requesting clients. The name assignment system comprises an input component, a confirmation mechanism and a name storage means. Preferred embodiments of the domain retrieval system comprise a scheduler, a parsing member having a plurality of redirectors and a plurality of servers. The domain retrieval system locates the domain referenced by the domain name by parsing header information and utilizing a wildcard DNS. Once the domain is located, the domain retrieval system forwards the domain to the user computer.
Abstract:
A method of labelling an instrument comprising the steps of: providing a recess in a surface of the instrument, the recess having a lowermost surface and an uppermost aperature, the lowermost surface having a larger surface area than the area of said uppermost aperatuer; placing a coloured liquid resin into said recess; heating the instrument in order to cure said resin, whereby a coloured resin label is formed in said recess.
Abstract:
A pharmaceutical composition comprising (i) a carbamate; (ii) a first anticholinergic; (iii) a second anticholinergic; and (iv) a pyridinium salt. The pharmaceutical composition is suitable for the treatment of organophosphate poisoning, including nerve agent and pesticide poisoning. The pharmaceutical composition provides an effective therapy against the lethal effects of nerve agent, provides effective protection from the effects of incapacitation and does not require the use of a pre-treatment. A kit comprising the pharmaceutical composition is also described and claimed.
Abstract:
Preparation and deposition of supercooled, electron-doped, water-cluster clathrate nanoparticles in confined geometries and on substrates from proprietary nanoemulsions is described. The compositions can yield high-Tc superconductors, e.g., in the vicinity of −43 deg C., useful for SQUID devices in electronic and magnetic application. In certain embodiments, the water-cluster clathrates are formed in nanoemulsions.
Abstract:
Apparatus for Terahertz wave generation. An amplified laser generates a pulsed optical fundamental beam and a crystal passes the fundamental beam to generate a second harmonic beam of the fundamental beam. A lens focuses the mixed fundamental and second harmonic beams and a gas cell containing water vapor receives the focused beams and generates Terahertz waves.
Abstract:
A sheet accepting apparatus comprises an inlet (210) for receiving one or more sheets. A transport system (217,350) extracts sheets from the inlet. A first detector (222) detects the passage of a foreign object with the transported sheet(s), the transport system being controllable to divert a detected foreign object to a foreign object collection position (215). One or more further detectors monitor sheets fed by the transport system. At least one store (205) is provided for storing accepted sheets. A controller is responsive to the detectors for controlling the transport system.
Abstract:
A hose assembly includes a brake hose and a hose bracket integrally molded around the brake hose. The hose bracket attaches the hose to a frame of a vehicle. The bracket may be made of at least one polyolefin material selected from the group consisting of polypropylene, thermoplastic olefin (TPO), thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer (TPE), polypelene, santoprene, or other similar low temperature materials suitable for automotive applications. The bracket may be molded using a low pressure molding operation. Other conventional components of the hose assembly, such as rub rings and clips, can also be integrally molded to the brake hose in conjunction with the hose bracket.
Abstract:
Various embodiments provide a system for enforcing investment policies created by an account owner. An investment policy tool may receive account data from an account database, including a portfolio and a policy, and a transaction generated by a trader for the account from a trading system. The investment policy tool may use the portfolio and the transaction to generate a speculative portfolio. The transaction and the speculative portfolio may be compared with the policy, to determine if either the transaction or the speculative portfolio violates any elements of the policy. If the investment policy tool determines that the policy has been violated, the investment policy tool may stop the transaction, stop the transaction and notify the account owner of the violation, hold the transaction and request approval from the account owner, or allow the transaction to proceed and notify the account owner of the violation.
