Abstract:
A writing instrument for use by a grader comprises an elongate, tubular housing, a writing component secured within the housing and operative to make marks on a surface, and a calculation assembly comprised of electronic components. The calculation assembly is retained within the housing and includes a plurality of data entry devices for entering data used to calculate a grade, the data entry devices being accessible by the grader through an exterior surface of the housing; a processing device programmed to receive data from the plurality of data entry devices and calculate the grade based on the entered data by performing division; and a display component for displaying to the grader the grade calculated by the processing device. A method of grading comprises using the writing instrument.
Abstract:
A cutting board assembly comprises a cutting board; a first container including a bottom, opposite side walls, and opposite end walls, with the opposite side walls and opposite end walls extending from a periphery of the bottom to define a holding area wherein food items may be retained; and a frame including opposite side walls and a support platform from which the side walls extend. The cutting board is retained upon the support platform. The frame is configured to receive and retain therein the first container such that the first container is movable between a retracted position, in which the first container is substantially disposed interior to the frame and the holding area thereof is substantially covered, and a protracted position, in which the first container is substantially disposed exterior to the frame and the holding area of the container is at least partially uncovered.
Abstract:
A spooled adhesive bandage dispenser includes a case, a replaceable cartridge and an activation wheel. The cartridge is disposed within the case and includes a bandage roll and a waste core. The bandage roll includes a strip of bandage packages sealed between two strips of packaging. The activation wheel is at least partially exposed outside the case. By rotating the activation wheel, the packaging strips are pulled apart and the bandage package is forced out of the case through a slot. At the same time, the packaging strips are wound around the waste core. When the bandage roll is gone, the entire cartridge may be replaced.
Abstract:
A food serving tray assembly includes a serving platter and a receptacle platter. The serving platter includes a disposal opening and serving wells for receiving food items. The receptacle platter and serving platter releasable couple to one another in a serving configuration and a transport configuration. An improvement includes the serving platter having an outer peripheral wall having a first height and dividing walls defining and separating the serving wells, each of the dividing walls being approximately equal to the first height. The peripheral wall of the receptacle platter has a third height and a bottom of the receptacle platter defines a plurality of dividers having a fourth height substantially less than the third height. When the serving platter is received within the receptacle platter, each of the dividers aligns with and engages a respective dividing wall such that two wells are isolated and seated off from one another.

A food serving tray assembly includes a serving platter and a receptacle platter. The serving platter includes a disposal opening and serving wells for receiving food items. The receptacle platter and serving platter releasably couple to one another in a serving configuration and a transport configuration. An improvement includes the serving platter having an outer peripheral wall and a plurality of dividing walls defining and separating adjacent serving wells; and the serving platter being generally received within the outer peripheral wall of the receptacle platter with the bottom of the receptacle platter and the dividing walls of the serving platter collectively isolating the wells from one another when the food serving tray assembly is in the transport configuration.
Abstract:
A dulling assembly includes a corrugated bundle having a plurality of generally vertically oriented planar paperboard sheets with fluted paperboard sheets located therebetween, each fluted paperboard sheet being adhered to the two planar paperboard sheets it is located between, and a plurality of grains of sand adhered with glue to a top surface of the corrugated bundle. A method of creating a dulling assembly includes the steps of providing a corrugated bundle, applying glue to a top surface of the corrugated bundle; and applying sand to the top surface of the corrugated bundle.

Abstract:
An apparatus for carrying one or more suspended items includes a unitary disc-shaped object having first and second arcuate portions each with first and second ends, and an intermediate portion extending between and interconnecting the first and second arcuate portions. The apparatus further includes a strap attached to the disc-shaped object. The first and second arcuate portions together define a generally circular profile of the disc-shaped object. Respective first ends of the first and second arcuate portions are disposed adjacently in opposed relation to one another and respective second ends of the first and second arcuate portions are disposed adjacently in opposed relation to one another, whereby passages are defined between adjacent corresponding ends of the first and second arcuate portions through which a handle of a bag may be received.
Abstract:
Serving food includes arranging, on a hand portable serving tray assembly, food that generates food waste when eaten; and releasably coupling the receptacle platter and serving platter in two different configurations including a serving configuration, wherein the receptacle platter is located below the serving platter and they collectively define a substantially enclosed interior space for receiving food waste; and a transport configuration, wherein the receptacle platter is located above and extends over the serving platter and serves as a cover. The serving platter has a peripheral wall and dividing walls defining and separating the serving wells. All are approximately equal in height. The receptacle platter has a peripheral wall and dividers shorter than the peripheral wall, and each divider aligns with and engages a respective dividing wall such that two wells are isolated from one another when the food serving tray assembly is in the transport configuration.
