摘要: An apparatus and method for controlling a yaw moment of a flight vehicle, such as an aircraft. A wing structure of the flight vehicle has a first opening or actuator positioned by a first apex section of a first side of the wing, and has a second opening or actuator positioned away from or at a distance from a second apex section of a second side of the wing. The first side and the second side can each be positioned or located opposite a centerline of the wing or wing structure. A pressure source or other pressure supply device is in communication with the first opening or actuator and the second opening or actuator to which a pressurized fluid, such as air, is controlled and delivered to control or vary the yaw moment of the flight vehicle.

摘要: The invention relates to a roll stand for rolling a product, in particular made of metal, comprising a pair of first rollers contacted by a pair of second rollers supporting the first rollers, wherein the first roller and the second rollers have an asymmetrical radius curve (CVC grind) relative to a center plane, wherein the radius curve of the first rollers is represented by a polynomial of the third or fifth order. In order to design the wedging of a second roller supporting a first roller such that optimal operating conditions are set, the invention proposes that the radius curve of the second roller is given by a polynomial of the third or fifth order, wherein special relationships are prescribed for the ratios between the coefficients.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and a finishing train for hot-rolling starting material. Starting material is finished in several successive roll stands (110 n) in the finishing train, the material cooling off because of heat loss. The material has to be reheated in order for the temperature of the material not to drop below the predefined lower threshold temperature value at low speeds within and at the discharge end of the finishing train. In order to use as little energy as possible for said reheating process, the reheating process within the finishing train is carried out for the first time only when the temperature of the material risks falling below the lower threshold temperature value for the first time relative to the direction of flow of the material because of heat loss. Furthermore, the temperature of the material during the reheating process is increased only to the point where the temperature of the material will not drop below the lower threshold temperature value (TU) while the material is conveyed onto a next heating device that is mounted downstream in the direction of flow of the material and until the material is discharged from the mill train.

摘要: The invention is directed to a cylindrical milling cutter whose cylindrical body is provided with grooves which extend along its length at a distance from one another and at an angle to the longitudinal axis, and indexable cutting inserts, particularly coated carbide cutting inserts, are arranged in these grooves. For substantially preventing axial forces acting on the milling cutter or on the material to be machined, it is proposed either that the grooves and therefore the knife edges of the indexable cutting inserts are portionally oriented at different angles, these angles being selected such that the axial forces occurring in one portion during the machining process are neutralized or reduced in a defined manner by the axial forces occurring in the adjacent portion, or that the indexable cutting inserts are alternately arranged or oriented in the grooves in such a way that the axial force caused by one indexable cutting insert during the machining process is neutralized by the axial force caused by the adjacent indexable cutting insert.

The holding oven (6) and the induction oven (7) are activated or deactivated according to a selected mode of operation, that is, a first mode of operation for the continuous production of the metal strip (1) and a second mode of operation for the discontinuous production of the metal strip (1). The invention further relates to a device for producing a metal strip by continuous casting and rolling.

摘要: The aim of the invention is to improve known roll stands (10) which are characterized by working rolls (1,2) of various diameters, in such a way that a strip is obtained which is largely free of tensions and undulations, has a desired strip profile superelevation, and can be used approximately universally. To this end, the support rolls (3,4) and the working rolls (1,2) are arranged in an axially displaceable manner in the roll stand (10,11), the position of at least one of the working rolls (1,2) can be adjusted in the discharge direction (7) of the roll strip (6), and that the support rolls (3,4) and the working rolls (1,2) are provided with a curved contour (continuously variable crown which is determined by an at least second order polynomial) which extends essentially over the whole surface length of the roll, said contours being staggered by 180° in relation to each other and respectively embodied in such a way that both contours of the working rolls (1,2) complete each other to form a symmetrical contour of the roll gap.

摘要: Strip is descaled in a rolling line having a scale scrubber and a finishing line downstream of the scale scrubber. The strip is sprayed with water on its upper and under sides at a descaling pressure in the scale scrubber. In the scrubber the strip is treated with water at a multiplicity of locations spaced from one another in the travel direction. A furthest downstream location at the under side is spaced downstream from a furthest downstream location at the upper side. Rolling torques of at least one rolling mill of the finishing line are measured above and below the strip and control parameters are produced corresponding thereto. These parameters are fed to a control circuit and used thereby to adjust quantities of water sprayed at the locations against the upper side and under side of the strip upstream of the finishing line.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing metal strips and sheets involving the following method steps: pouring a strand, which is provided in the form (1) of thin slabs and which is comprised of carbon steel or special steel, into a casting machine (4) and rolling the cast product away from the casting heat. The aim of the invention is to utilize free capacities of existing installations, that is, installations not operating at full capacity, with which primary carbon steels are produced, in order to supplement other types of steel or to supplement cast products produced in another manner. To this end, the invention provides that, together with these first cast products (1), at least second cast products (2), which are produced in a second process route (II) from special steel if the first thin slabs are cast from carbon steel or are produced from carbon steel if the first thin slabs are cast from special steel, are rolled within a joint rolling program.
