摘要: The invention discloses an order system for printed matter, where printed matter is defined in an article-based database in the order system and an order for the production of the printed matter is using an interface in the order system, and a method for calculating production of printed matter, where first an interface in such an order system is used to give an order for production and where, when the order has been given, parameters for the printed matter are taken as a basis for using a calculation module in a Management Information System controlling networked graphical production to calculate the production and in order to trigger the automated calculation when an order has been given using an article-based order system, it is proposed that production-specific parameters for the printed matter be able to be defined in the order system's database and that, when the order has been given, the order system provide the parameters for calculating production of the printed matter via an interface.

摘要: A job processing apparatus connectable to another job processing apparatus via a network, and if an instruction is given to execute a job including a first job and a second job using the job processing apparatus itself and a second job processing apparatus, then the first job is executed and history information on the first job is created by the job processing apparatus itself, and an instruction to execute the second job is given to the second job processing apparatus via the network. Then, if the history information on the second job executed by the second job processing apparatus is received by the job processing apparatus itself via the network, the history information on the first and second jobs are stored in a log database in association.

摘要: A job, or the copy, is transmitted to a designated destination. A transmission job or a printing job is stored in conjunction with a corresponding execution time in the job storage unit, so that a job can be selected from the job list and the execution time for the selected job can be changed. Further, the jobs stored in the print queue are displayed as a list, and a selected job is moved from the print queue to the job storage unit. In addition, the histories of jobs that were executed are displayed as a list, so that a specific job can be selected and re-executed. When logout is instructed, management data are examined in order to determine whether there is an unprocessed job that was previously instructed by the user. If an unprocessed job is found, the user is notified. If the operator is a manager, a menu is displayed so that all the jobs in the print queue can be deleted. When jobs are deleted, the owners of the individual jobs are notified. The publication time limits for all the jobs included in the list are examined, and the jobs for which the publication time limits have not yet expired are displayed.

摘要: [Task] When data is printed to a printing device from a computer, the printing is approved or not approved according to the data contents.[Solution] A first control filter 23, which detects printing data output from a spooler 10, halts the printing task temporarily, and replicates the printing data, and a viewable image driver 20 which uses replicated printing data to create an image file, are provided. The image file is transmitted over a network 2 to a manager, and the manager views the image file and decides whether to perform printing on the printing device 4, and transmits a notification signal to this effect to the first control filter 23. The first control filter 23 performs printing control according to the notification signal from the manager.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to selective printing of a print job based on the printing capabilities of a networked printer. Print jobs can be sent to a print server and sorted based on various printing requirements. The print jobs can then be sent to printers capable of printing the print characteristics.
