    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to signaling transmission starting offsets for uplink transmissions in a frequency spectrum shared by multiple network operating entities are provided. A first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, a cyclic prefix (CP) extension length configuration for providing a gap duration for a listen-before-talk (LBT) associated with a first communication signal. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device, the first communication signal including a CP extension having a length based on the CP extension length configuration.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to scheduling and communicating in an uplink direction over a medium shared by multiple network operating entities are provided. A first wireless communication device transmits, to a second wireless communication device, a message indicating an uplink allocation in a transmission slot, the uplink allocation including an allocation size based on an allowable listen-before-talk (LBT) delay in the transmission slot. The first wireless communication device receives, from the second wireless communication device, an uplink communication signal in the transmission slot, the uplink communication signal including an uplink data portion based on the allocation size and a filler portion associated with an LBT delay in the transmission slot.

    Abstract: A base station (BS) may transmit, and a user equipment (UE) may receive, a physical channel, such as a narrowband physical downlink control channel (NPDCCH) or a narrowband physical downlink shared channel (NPDSCH). In an interference-limited scenario in a network, it may be desirable to perform additional processing to introduce interference randomization into the control channel to ensure that the UE can recover data of the control channel. Some types of UEs, such as legacy UEs, may not be capable of recovering the control channel when the additional processing is performed. In some aspects, the BS may identify a type of UE associated with a cell, and may transmit a physical channel processed using a processing scheme selected based at least in part on the type of UE associated with the cell.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that facilitate feedback for transmissions or retransmissions, such as hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgment/negative-acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) feedback reports. A UE may report feedback for regular downlink transmission and semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) transmissions in one or more group-based acknowledgment feedback reports, in which SPS transmissions are associated with a group for providing the feedback report and any retransmissions of the feedback report. Acknowledgment feedback reports may also indicate new data indicator values according to a predetermined value for SPS transmissions in one-shot feedback reports.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications in unlicensed spectrum are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment may identify a service parameter configured for the user equipment for a shared radio frequency channel, such as a subcarrier spacing or beam direction for a directional beam for communications with a base station. The base station may acquire a channel occupancy time for the shared radio frequency channel. The user equipment may monitor for and receive a control message for the channel occupancy time from the base station. The control message may include an indication of service associated with the service parameter and a remaining duration of the channel occupancy time. Based on the indications, the user equipment may adapt one or more receive parameters (e.g., a monitoring periodicity, monitoring time occasions, and whether to skip monitoring) for communicating with the base station during the channel occupancy time.

    Abstract: Techniques and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for staggering sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions in frequency across multiple orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, which may allow multiple UEs to transmit SRS using a common listen-before-talk (LBT) gap for a LBT procedure. The techniques also provide for transmitting an SRS across multiple OFDM symbols using same frequency resources, and an orthogonal cover code (OCC) may be applied to the SRS transmission of each OFDM symbol, which may allow multiple UEs to transmit concurrent SRS using a common LBT gap.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to channel access for discovery reference signal (DRS) transmissions in a spectrum shared by multiple network operating entities are provided. A first wireless communication device identifies a plurality of allowable transmission starting locations within a DRS measurement time configuration (DMTC) window, where at least one of the plurality of allowable transmission starting locations is offset from boundaries of a plurality of transmission slots of the DMTC window. The plurality of allowable transmission starting locations is associated with an allowable number of category 2 (CAT2) listen-before-talks (LBTs) within the DMTC window and a duration of the DRS transmission. The first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, a DRS beginning at a first transmission starting location of the plurality of allowable transmission starting locations.
