    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a medium access control (MAC) command element (CE) indicating an update to a spatial relation configuration of the UE for physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmissions, the update indicated by PUCCH resource information. The UE may update the spatial relation configuration of the UE with the PUCCH resource information. The UE may transmit a PUCCH transmission using the spatial relation configuration. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring parameters for small data transfer (SDT) transmissions. One example technique provides a method for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE), involving: obtaining configuration information received from a network entity, the configuration information indicating a plurality of configurations for small data transfer (SDT) transmission, determining at least one of a transport block size (TBS) or data threshold for SDT transmission based on one of the configurations, and outputting for transmission one or more SDT transmissions based on the determination.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may request to change its radio resource control (RRC) parameters by transmitting a UE assistance information message to a base station. However, the existing RRC parameters that a UE may request to change via a UE assistance information message may not be inadequate for some UEs and may cause a high signaling overhead. The aspects described herein include an apparatus that obtains configuration information for a UE assistance information message, the configuration information indicating a set of parameters the apparatus is allowed to indicate in the UE assistance information message, the set of parameters including at least one of an operation complexity control parameter, a network coverage control parameter, or a channel monitoring control parameter. The apparatus transmits the UE assistance information message, wherein the UE assistance information message is based on at least a portion of the set of parameters.

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a UE transmitting a request for a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle of a first duration; receiving an indication that a DRX cycle having a second duration has been assigned to the UE by a core network component; receiving a system information block (SIB) from a base station, the SIB comprising: a default paging cycle, and an indication that override of the default is supported; entering an inactive state in which a transceiver of the UE is in a low power state; and causing, while the UE is in the inactive state, the transceiver to periodically enter a higher power state to monitor its paging channel at a periodicity based on the second duration. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
