    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for receiving a plurality of beams from a base station (BS), measuring a value of a parameter associated with each of the plurality of beams, generating a report including at least the values of the parameter associated with the plurality of beams and/or an indication to implement soft-combining, transmitting the report to the BS, in response to transmitting the report: receiving a first beam including first redundant information and a second beam including second redundant information, and generating combined information based on the first redundant information and the second redundant information.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for precoding for multi-panel uplink transmission. For codebook-based uplink transmission, a user equipment (UE) can determine one or more preferred or selected precoders for uplink transmission. The precoders can be from an expanded UE codebook that maps a first number of transmit layers at the UE to a second number of antenna ports at the UE, the layers and/or antenna ports associated with multiple uplink transmit panels at the UE. The UE sends an indication to a base station (BS) of the determined precoders and/or sends an uplink transmission using the determined precoders. For non-codebook based uplink transmission the UE receives first and second reference signals (RSs), from first and second ports of a BS, with first and second UE antenna panels. The UE computes precoders to use for uplink transmission based on the RSs.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine that the UE has data to transmit. The user equipment may transmit, to a base station (BS) and based at least in part on determining that the UE has the data to transmit, a plurality of communications on a plurality of uplink beams to trigger the BS to perform beam measurements for the uplink beams. The user equipment may receive information that identifies a subset of the plurality of uplink beams to be used for an uplink data transmission based at least in part on transmitting the communications. The user equipment may transmit the uplink data transmission on the subset of the uplink beams based at least in part on receiving the information that identifies the subset of the uplink beams.     Abstract: In multi-beam communication, the UE may assist in the scheduling of beams utilized during the multi-beam communication by improving the manner in which the quality of the beam is reported to the network. The apparatus may measure a signal received from a base station on at least one beam. The apparatus may detect a triggering event for providing CSI for the at least one beam. The apparatus may transmit an uplink transmission comprising a CSI report in response to detecting the triggering event. The apparatus may receive an uplink request from a UE for providing CSI for at least one beam. The apparatus may transmit an indication scheduling a CSI report in response to the uplink request. The apparatus may receive an uplink transmission from the UE comprising the CSI report for the at least one beam.
