Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for detecting outlier cells based on positioning of a user equipment (UE). In an aspect, the UE or a location server determines a plurality of cells detectable by the UE, calculates a plurality of location estimates for the UE based on positioning measurements of a corresponding plurality of subsets of the plurality of cells, identifies a subset of cells that provides a best location estimate for the UE, wherein the best location estimate maximizes a set of inlier cells, calculates a final location estimate for the UE based on positioning measurements of the subset of cells and the set of inlier cells, identifies any remaining cells of the plurality of cells other than the subset of cells and the set of inlier cells as at least one outlier cell, and performs a mitigation operation based on identifying the at least one outlier cell.

The UE may transmit the TR filtered UL-RS on UL resources which are associated with the DL resources of the DL-RS(s) and which are scheduled by the network node(s). The association between the UL resources and the DL resources may be indicated to the UE by the network node(s).

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure disclose various methods for grouping network resources into precoder resource groups (PRGs) for precoding in MIMO communication. A user equipment (UE) may select a common precoder that may not be restricted to a codebook for precoding the resources in the same PRG. These resource grouping methods provide the UE with the flexibility to select a precoder that is well suited to the channel or bandwidth. Moreover, the base station may reduce downlink signaling because it does not need to signal the precoder choice to the UE. In some examples, the base station may receive PRG based channel state information feedback that facilitates DL precoding. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide a mechanism for utilizing uplink hopping patterns for HARQ transmissions. Each hopping pattern may include a sequence of different frequency resources or a sequence of different scrambling sequences for a user equipment (UE) to utilize over time for HARQ transmissions. Each of the hopping patterns may further be associated with a time index mode in which the hopping pattern is applied to time resources such that each time resource within a consecutive sequence of time resources is mapped to a different frequency resource or scrambling sequence. The base station may select a hopping pattern for a particular UE and transmit an indication of the selected hopping pattern to the UE.

Abstract: Aspects directed towards a cell-specific configuration for sounding transmissions and measurements are disclosed. In one example, scheduled entities served by a scheduling entity are identified and a cell-specific sounding pattern configuration uniformly applicable to each of the scheduled entities is generated such that the cell-specific sounding pattern configuration has a different pattern than a cell-specific sounding pattern configuration associated with at least one other cell. The cell-specific sounding pattern configuration is then transmitted to each of the scheduled entities to facilitate an identification of cell-specific resources to use for at least one of a sounding transmission or a sounding measurement. In another example, a cell-specific sounding pattern configuration is received and cell-specific resources associated with the cell-specific sounding pattern configuration are identified. At least one of a sounding transmission or a sounding measurement is then configured according to the cell-specific resources associated with the cell-specific sounding pattern configuration.
