Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying content corresponding to a language are provided. Language spoken by a first user based on verbal input received from the first user is automatically determined with voice recognition circuitry. A database of content sources is cross-referenced to identify a content source associated with a language field value that corresponds to the determined language spoken by the first user. The language field in the database identifies the language that the associated content source transmits content to a plurality of users. A representation of the identified content source is generated for display to the first user.

Abstract: A virtual display visible via extended reality equipment (XR equipment) is controlled by user input to a physical controller that also controls a physical display. The physical controller may be a keyboard, a trackpad, a mouse, a joystick, a gaming controller, gaming console, or an appliance remote controller. The virtual display may be generated by a movement of a graphical user interface element on the physical display beyond a display area of the physical display or in other ways. The virtual display may be anchored to the physical display so as to move in response to movement of the physical device. A second virtual display may be similarly generated in response to further user input via the physical device and may be automatically positioned so as to be visible via the XR equipment on a same vertical plane or arc as the first virtual display.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for modifying content recommendations based on what content items will be available on content platforms to which the user will have access during a trip. Content items to be recommended to the user on a first content platform are identified by comparing characteristics of each available content item to a profile associated with the user. A second content platform to which the user will have access during a particular time period in the near future is also identified. The second content platform is queried to identify content items that will be available during the particular time period. If any content item available on the second content platform during the particular time period also appears in the set of content items identified for recommendation, recommendation of that content item is suppressed.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed preventing accidents by altering user interfaces of self-driving vehicles based on movements of passengers in the self-driving vehicles. The system and methods generate for display media content on a user interface for a self-driving vehicle and determine whether a value of movement from a wearable user device of a user within the self-driving vehicle exceeds a threshold value (indicating the maximum value at which the self-driving vehicle removes the media content on the user interface). Responsive to a determination that the value of the movement from the wearable user device exceeds the threshold value, the system and methods remove the media content on the user interface for the self-driving vehicle.

Abstract: Systems and methods are presented herein for providing a user with a recommendation for physical activity related to media content. The user may activate a recommendation application setting on a user equipment device. The user may select a media asset for presentation on a user equipment device. The system may identify the content type of each respective segment of the media asset and may identify respective activities performed in each segment by a primary character. The system may determine a respective activity to recommend to the user for reach respective segment of the media asset. The application may then determine a segment is being displayed for a user and generate an overlay representing a physical activity for the user to perform.
