    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for floating-band channel state information (CSI) reference signals (RS). A method that may be performed by an apparatus includes determining a floating band for transmitting one or more CSI-RSs to a wireless device based on a previously scheduled data transmission by the apparatus. The apparatus transmits the one or more CSI-RSs to the wireless device on the floating band. In some aspects, a wireless device receives, from an apparatus, one or more floating-band CSI-RSs. The wireless device generates one or more CSI reports based on the one or more CSI-RSs and transmits the one or more CSI reports.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A served user equipment (UE) may receive a first configuration signal configuring the served UE with first transmission beam resources and second transmission beam resources for the served UE to use for beam management over a sidelink channel. The served UE may identify, based at least in part on the first configuration signal, a pattern for performing beam management using the first transmission beam resources and the second transmission beam resources. The served UE may perform the beam management over the sidelink channel in accordance with the pattern using the first transmission beam resources and the second transmission beam resources.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish an access link with a base station using one or more of a first beam or a first set of beams. The UE may therefore receive, via the access link, control signaling indicating a first configuration for a sidelink channel. In some examples, the UE may switch from the first configuration to a second configuration for the sidelink channel based on detection of an event for one or more of the first beam or the first set of beams and communicate with a second UE via the sidelink channel using the second configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and a base station may communicate medium access control (MAC) protocol data units (PDUs). The UE and base station may use a set of decoding conditions, or a decoding configuration, to identify a set of code block groups (CBGs) within a packet that include MAC-control elements (CEs). For example, the decoding configuration may indicate a fixed set of CBGs which contain the MAC-CEs within a MAC PDU. In another example, the configuration may specify a limit on the number and/or size of the MAC-CEs within each MAC PDU packet. In any case, the decoding configuration may provide rules known by both transmitting and receiving devices for identifying and decoding CBGs that include MAC-CEs such that MAC-CE information may be applied by the receiving wireless device.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a base station may signal quasi co-location (QCL) information to a first user equipment (UE). Based on the QCL information, the first UE may determine one or more QCL parameters for communications (such as a receive beam or a transmit beam) for uplink, downlink, or sidelink operations. The first UE may signal the determined QCL parameters to a second UE using a sidelink channel. The second UE may use the QCL parameters to configure a beam for a communication link that the second UE may use to communicate with one or more of the first UE via the sidelink channel, one or more other UEs via additional sidelink channels, or one or more base stations via uplink or downlink transmissions.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems for beam group reporting for positioning in new radio (NR) wireless communications systems. In some wireless communications systems, multiple PRS resources, e.g., a beam group, received by a user equipment (UE) from the same network entity may be used to produce a combined Time of Arrival (TOA) measurement for the reference or target to derive an Reference Signal Time Difference (RSTD) estimate. The UE provides to a network entity an indication of the PRS resources in the beam group, which may be specifically or generally identified. Additionally, parameters associated with the beam group are provided, such as a relative quality of the TOA measurement for each PRS resource in the subset, a spread of the TOA measurements in the subset, a relative signal strength of each PRS resource in the subset, or a spread of the signal strength in the subset.

    Abstract: The present disclosure describes various examples of a method, an apparatus, and a computer readable medium for signaling synchronization block patterns in wireless communications (e.g., 5th Generation New Radio (5G NR)). For example, one of the methods described may include receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a message including information of a configuration. The configuration includes at least a group of repetitions of one or more synchronization signal (SS) blocks in an SS burst set, and the repetitions of the one or more SS blocks are configured into at least two groups. The method may further include determining, by the UE, which group of the at least two groups to search for during a synchronous neighbor cell search based on the information and at least one condition at the UE.
