Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) including receiving a first reference signal (RS) from a first transmission reception point (TRP); receiving a second RS from a second TRP, wherein the first TRP and the second TRP are both associated with a BS; and transmitting, to the BS, an indication that one of a first shifted carrier frequency at which the first RS is received or a second shifted carrier frequency at which the second RS is received is preferred for use by the UE as a reference carrier frequency for demodulation.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for dynamically adjusting the access link timing alignment at the integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node. Specifically, features of the present disclosure provide techniques for signaling to one or more child nodes the timing advance and timing offset values associated with each operational mode of the TAB node that may impact the access link timing for the child node (for uplink and/or downlink transmissions). Additionally or alternatively, aspects of the present disclosure identify whether a gap period may be included in order to ensure that the child node has sufficient time to transition between states during the transition period (e.g., from downlink to uplink) when the TAB node dynamically adjusts the access link timing.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine, for an uplink transmission that is to use multiple antenna panels, a first power splitting for a first transmit power associated with a first antenna panel of the multiple antenna panels, and a second power splitting for a second transmit power associated with a second antenna panel of the multiple antenna panels. The UE may transmit the uplink transmission using the multiple antenna panels according to the first power splitting for the first antenna panel and the second power splitting for the second antenna panel. Numerous other aspects are provided.

SECURITY ENHANCEMENTS WITH A RECONFIGURABLE INTELLIGENT SURFACE

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first signal associated with a downlink control channel, wherein the first signal uses a modulation signature that identifies a first security key associated with a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS), and wherein the first signal includes a second security key. The UE may receive a second signal associated with a downlink shared channel, wherein the second signal includes a third security key, and wherein the second signal is authenticated by the UE based at least in part on the first security key, the second security key, and the third security key. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a signal that is transmitted by a base station with a modulation signature associated with a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) or a repeater and redirected by the RIS or the repeater using modulation that reverses the modulation signature associated with the RIS or the repeater. The UE may decode the signal, wherein the signal is decodable by the UE based at least in part on the signal being redirected by the RIS or the repeater using the modulation that reverses the modulation signature associated with the RIS or the repeater. Numerous other aspects are described.
