Abstract: Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a C-V2X capable wireless device configured to operate according to a first sidelink mode where communication resources are allocated by a network and a second sidelink mode where communication resources are autonomously allocated by the wireless device. The wireless device detects a change in a coverage scenario associated with the first sidelink mode; performs resource sensing for the second sidelink mode; and based at least in part on detecting the change in the coverage scenario, transmits first communications using the second sidelink mode, wherein resources for transmitting the first communications are allocated based at least in part on the resource sensing.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for using integrated access and backhaul (IAB) nodes configured to provide multi-access edge computing (MEC) functionality. An IAB node may include a MEC functionality that includes an instance of an application configured for MEC. A UE using the application connects to the network through an access link with the IAB node and establishes a PDU session for traffic of the application with a core network (CN). The CN may determine that the traffic corresponds to the application, and that an instance of the application is present on the IAB node. Accordingly, the CN may instruct the IAB donor to instantiate a remote packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer and, in some cases, a remote service data application (SDAP) layer that are configured to route the traffic from the UE for the application to the instance of the application on the IAB node.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to perform intra-UE co-existence between non-stand-alone (NSA) and stand-alone (SA) mode. The dual connectivity status may include indication disabling (enabling) dual connectivity for the UE, working frequencies associated with the second RAN, and/or configurations associated with the second RAN. The UE may receive, from the first RAN, a dual connectivity configuration that may be based on the dual connectivity status of the UE and operate accordingly.
