Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication of an update associated with a non-serving cell reference signal. The UE may select a first application time duration based at least in part on a determination that the non-serving cell reference signal has been tracked by the UE or a second application time duration based at least in part on a determination that the non-serving cell reference signal has not been tracked by the UE, resulting in a selected application time duration. The UE may apply the update associated with the non-serving cell reference signal after the selected application time duration. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) receives scheduling information that schedules a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS). The UE determines whether to autonomously update a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state in response to the scheduled CSI-RS based, for example, on CSI-RS power metrics or payload size of a CSI report. Then, depending upon the determination, the UE either autonomously updates the TCI state or updates the TCI state only in response to TCI state update instructions received from the base station. In other aspects, a UE receives scheduling information from a multiple transmission and reception point (mTRP) base station that schedules a CSI-RS. The UE autonomously updates TCI states for use with the mTRP base station. Complementary operations may be performed by the base station. These and other aspects described herein may reduce latency and improve performance between a UE and a base station.

Abstract: A plurality of scheduled entities, such as transmission reception points (TRPs), may each transmit at least one TRP-specific beam failure detection reference signal (BFD-RS) having a corresponding TRP identifier (ID) to a scheduled entity. The scheduled entity may be configured with at least one TRP-specific medium access control (MAC) parameter. The scheduled entity may receive the TRP-specific BFD-RSs and respective TRP IDs associated therewith. The scheduled entity may measure each BFD-RSs and count beam failure instances associated with each TRP ID. The scheduled entity may transmit a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) associated with the respective TRP ID in response to a predetermined quantity of respective TRP-specific BFD-RS measurements of at least one of the respective TRP-specific BFD-RSs being less than a predetermined value. A scheduling entity may receive the BFRQ, where the at least one TRP-specific MAC parameter was used to trigger the BFRQ.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring multi-beam full-duplex communication that allows a device (e.g., user equipment (UE) or base station) to contemporaneously perform both uplink and downlink communication over the same frequency band. Because of the full duplex communication capability provided by the present disclosure, the NR system may achieve reduced latency and improved spectrum and resource efficiency, thereby accommodating a growing demands for the wireless communication. The full duplex communication capability may be achieved by implementing downlink control information (DCI) format that specifies to the UE the beam assignments for contemporaneous transmission (Tx) and reception (Rx). Particularly, beams may be selected such that the beam(s) assigned for communication are independent and uncorrelated, and therefore provide sufficient beam diversity in order to mitigate the limitations of current systems, including self-interference that has hindered implementation of full duplex communication in current systems.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems related to UE-aided selective single frequency network (SFN). In some implementations, a UE may obtain a first channel measurement of a first communication channel associated with a serving transmission and reception point (TRP), and a second channel measurement of a second communication channel associated with a neighbor TRP. The UE may further select an SFN condition associated with the first channel measurement or the second channel measurement, and transmit an indication including the SFN condition to one or both of the serving TRP or the neighbor TRP. In some other implementations, a network entity may select whether to configure a transmission scheme according to SFN for at least one of a serving TRP and a neighbor TRP associated with the SFN condition, and communicate with the UE associated with the transmission scheme according to SFN.
