摘要： The disclosed invention is a programmable switch for configuring circuit topologies. The switch can be any type of mechanical or electronic switch. Every setting of the switch can be programmed by a user, selecting topologies such as circuit elements in series, in parallel, in phase or out of phase. In a dual switch embodiment, the first switch selects the circuit elements to be used, and the second switch configures those selected elements in a wide variety of topologies. This division in switch circuit design between element selection and then topology provides an extremely wide range of circuit topologies available, unlike prior art designs.

The volume-adjustment circuit has three parts: (1) a pickup topology selection switch that selects separate pickup-topologies, (2) separate and independent signal paths for chosen pickup-topologies, and (3) separate volume adjustment circuits in electrically separate and independent signal paths. 摘要： In one embodiment, an electronic cymbal system includes a first pickup configured to generate an electrical signal representative of vibrations in a first cymbal, and a controller configured to receive the first electrical signal and to process the first electrical signal to generate an output. The controller includes a digital signal processor (DSP) configured to subject a version of the first electrical signal to a digital signal processing technique. The digital signal processing technique includes one or more of dynamic range compression, expansion, frequency equalization, harmonic excitation, comb filtering, and pitch shifting. The cymbals may be any of variety of known cymbals, such as hi-hat, crash and ride cymbals, and may be of the perforated type configured to reduce noise for indoor use. Lighting control may be provided to illuminate the cymbal for functional or aesthetic purposes.

摘要： This invention relates to a pickup and base structure of a drum head, in particular, a pickup applied to a mesh head or a hard drum head having the base thereof in a hollow L-shape, thereby allowing a vertical space to position a terminal base of a signal line and a horizontal portion in a L shape to form a recess inwards. A shock isolator is integrally formed with the pickup in one piece by clamping said pickup from both above and below, in addition, another shock isolator is fastened on the vertical side on the exterior of the base. The structure is fixed on the underside of the drum head and the shock isolator that is fastened on the vertical side on the exterior of the base is against on a position corresponding to the drum body, so as to form the pickup and base structure of a drum head that is easily to be installed.

摘要： An apparatus for amplifying the sound of a stringed instrument includes, in its most basic form, a speaker attached to a strap that is adapted to be draped around a musician with each end thereof detachably-attachable to the stringed instrument. An amplifier circuit, according to a first embodiment, is connected to the speaker and attached to the strap along with a battery. A pickup wire is attached to an input of the amplifier circuit and to an electrical jack on the musical instrument. Portable amplification of the stringed instrument is provided. Other embodiments disclose a remote amplifier circuit and a remote battery that are attached elsewhere to the musician while the amplifier circuit output remains connected to the speaker that is always attached to the strap. A two-piece strap is disclosed as are a variety of different types of speakers that are attached to any preferred version of the strap.

A valley or mountain is defined by a temporal section of the information signal, wherein the section of the information signal extends from the time instant of a local extreme value to a temporarily adjacent value of the information signal having the same amplitude as the local extreme value. Area or volume information of several mountains or valleys is characteristic for the information signal and permits further characterization of the information signal, build-up of an information signal database, or identification of an information signal on the basis of an existing information signal database. Area or volume information is on the one hand characteristic for the information signal and on the other hand, due to its integral nature, robust against information signal changes in form of overlays or distortions.
